At New York Film Academy's 4-week screenwriting camp for teens, students learn how to write their own screenplays．

A series of small earthquakes have shaken central Nebraska and become the talk of the area．According to the information on a website, there have been several quakes since the 9th this month in the heart of the state, centered on the town Arnold, which is about 225 miles west of the capital Lincoln．The first, a 3.3-magnitude (震級) quake, happened early that morning, followed by three on the following day, another on Sunday, and then the most recent earthquake on Monday．The strongest quake was the first one that struck on the 10th, which reached a magnitude of 3.7．The earthquakes were found about three miles below the surface．There haven't been any reports of human injury or damage of buildings caused by the quakes, according to KWBE, a radio station．

Earthquakes are usually caused when rock underground suddenly breaks．This sudden release of energy causes the waves that make the ground shake．Two blocks of rock or two plates are rubbing (摩擦) against each other．After a while, the rocks break because of all the pressure that is built up．When the rocks break, the earthquake happens．

One carnivorous plant many people are familiar with is the Venus flytrap．Its unique “jaws(頜)”will function when flies and other small insects touch it．Once its jaws close on its victim, it produces a chemical substance(物質) that breaks down the insect and absorbs the insect's nutrients．

A new study shows that a positive attitude about ageing can help recover mild memory loss．People with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) are 30 per cent more likely to make symptoms (癥狀) disappear if they think positively about ageing, according to a study carried out by the Yale School of Public Health．The study was conducted over twelve years and involved 1，716 participants aged 65 and above．
MCI is usually considered a one-way process, but according to Professor Becca Levy, lead author of the study, that's not the case at all, “Most people assume there is no recovery from MCI, but in fact half of those who have it do recover．”
Mild cognitive impairment is a condition which causes memory loss and difficulty in thinking clearly．Symptoms might include forgetting events, or often losing things．Other more physical symptoms such as a loss of smell or spatial perception have also been connected with MCI．
It is mostly found in people over 60，and often leads to Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia．The study was conducted over a twelve-year period between 2008—2020, with seven data collection waves performed every two years．
Results showed that those who came to the study with MCI were 30 per cent more likely to make a full recovery if they were upbeat about ageing．They were also likely to recover two years faster than those with more negative age beliefs (such as “The older I get, the more useless I feel”)．Those who came to the study without MCI were also far less likely to develop it if they felt more age-positive, no matter of what their physical health or age is．
Factors (因素) such as age, race and gender have previously been examined for connections with recovery, but this is the first study to look at cultural factors — in this case, beliefs about ageing．
While the study definitely provided positive results, it's still not known exactly why．“A limitation is that we did not examine the mechanism of positive age beliefs in cognitive (認知) recovery”， says Levy．
Given how well this research has gone, hopefully future studies will show the “why”， as well as looking at other cultural factors．
