Project
At the end of the class, we are able to:
1. work in groups to create a chain story using at least 5 conditional ("If...") sentences, using phrases and languages you learned in this unit;
2. present stories fluently.

If the dog wears sunglasses, ________________.

If the tree could speak, ___________________.
What MIGHT happen IF...
Today,
we'll create fun chain stories using “IF”!
Know your tasks
Here are the steps.
Write the "if" sentence.
Pick & Continue
Put all the "If" papers in a box.
The first student picks one and reads it aloud.
Others take turns adding new "if" sentences logically.
Chain Linking
Keep adding sentences one by one.
Stop when the story feels complete (at least 5 sentences).
Share your story.
Carry out the tasks
4a Work in groups. Each student writes one sentence beginning with"If…" on their own piece of paper. For example:
If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we'll go for a picnic.
Language Support:
"Remember: If + present tense, ... will + verb."
"If [present situation], [future result]."
"If aliens visit our school, the students will take photos."
4b Put all the pieces of paper into a box or jar. The first person picks one and reads it aloud. Others then add "if" sentences to continue the story. For example:
If we go for a picnic, everyone will be excited.
If everyone is excited, we’ll play some fun games.
Language Support:
"If [previous result], [new result]."
Model:
Student A: "If the students take photos, they will share them."
Student B: "If they share them, news reporters will come."
4c Take turns to add sentences until the story ends naturally. Each story should include at least five sentences.
Rule: Stories need 5+ sentences.
Example:
"If reporters come, the story will spread everywhere."
"If it spreads everywhere... THE ALIENS BECOME WORLD FAMOUS!"
Share your work
4d When a story ends, pick another piece of paper. Take turns to tell the next story.
If robots teach our class, they'll make learning fun.
If learning is fun, kids will get curious.
If kids get curious, they'll invent amazing things.
If they invent amazing things... THE FUTURE SHINES BRIGHTER THAN EVER!
