1. What’s the largest animal in the world 世界上最大的動物是什么？
largest是large的最高級形式。最高級前面一般會有定冠詞the進行修飾。
形容詞和副詞的最高級一般分為規則變化和不規則變化。
規則變化如下：
構成方法 比較級
單音節詞和部分雙音節詞 一般情況下，最高級詞尾加-est tallest；shortest；fastest
以字母e結尾的詞，最高級詞尾加-st largest；latest
重讀閉音節詞尾只有一個輔音字母時，先雙寫該輔音字母，然后最高級詞尾加-est biggest；fattest；thinnest
以“輔音字母+ y”結尾的雙音節詞，先把y改為i，然后最高級詞尾加-est easiest；heaviest；earliest
多音節詞和部分雙音節詞 詞前加most構成最高級 most beautiful；most popular

one of + 限定詞 + 復數名詞 / 代詞
限定詞包括冠詞（the）、形容詞性物主代詞（my, their）、指示代詞（these, those）等。表示 “…… 中的一個”，強調在整體中選取一個個體。
例如：
She is one of my friends. 她是我的一個朋友。
This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
這是我看過的最好的電影之一。
【主謂一致】
one of 結構作主語時，謂語動詞用單數（因為核心詞是 “one”，表示 “一個”）。
例如：
One of the students is from Canada. 這些學生中有一個來自加拿大。
One of these books has a missing page. 這些書中有一本缺頁了。
【最高級搭配】
“one of” 常與 形容詞最高級 連用，構成 one of the + 最高級 + 復數名詞，
表示 “最…… 的…… 之一”。

在英語句子中，實詞（如名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞等）承載重要信息，一般需要重讀；而充當語法功能的詞（如冠詞、連詞、介詞、助動詞等）一般弱讀。但這條讀音規律并非一成不變，句子中的重音可以隨著說話者要表達的意思的變化而變化。例如：
Please pass me the book. （強調把“書”遞給我，而不是把別的東西給我）
Please pass the book to me. （強調把書遞給“我”，而不是給其他人）
A: I think she will win.
B: She won’t. （預測她“不會”贏）
A: She will. （堅信她一定“會”贏）
一般情況下，me、will等功能詞在句中弱讀，但在上述情境中這兩個詞需要重讀。
