MEMORIES① OF CHRISTMAS
I still remember the last Christmas Granny spent with us [1].It began in the middle of November on a cold，windy day．I remember the wind because Granny's grey hair was a mess② when she arrived．That was also the day Granny moved in③．Somehow④，at the time，I didn't know she was sick [2].Maybe I was too young，maybe she hid it too well，or maybe I was just too excited that Christmas was on the way⑤.

On Christmas Eve ，Granny took a seat by the fire as we put up the Christmas tree[3].
I hung most of the decorations on the branches .

A few weeks after that Christmas，Granny passed away ．I think of her often though，especially at Christmas．Each year，I take out the music box she gave me．Inside I keep Granny's paper hat and the letter she helped me write that Christmas．Mum gave the letter back to me some years ago when I no longer believed in Father Christmas．When I think about what makes Christmas so magical ，it's not just gifts and Father Christmas that come to mind [8].It's also my memory of Granny．Now I'm the one who makes sugar biscuits each year，and I always make one in a G-shape—G for Granny．

圣誕節(jié)回憶

然后她開始唱，“哦，圣誕樹，哦，圣誕樹，你讓我的心里充滿了音樂……”
睡覺前，奶奶和我留了一盤糖餅干給圣誕老人，并在我的床尾放了一只長筒襪。我記得奶奶坐在我的床上輕聲唱歌，直到我睡著。
圣誕節(jié)早上，我的長筒襪里裝滿了小玩具和糖果，圣誕樹下還有禮物。當(dāng)我們拆禮物時，我表現(xiàn)得很好。后來，奶奶叫我過去。

圣誕節(jié)回憶
我還記得奶奶和我們一起過的最后一個圣誕節(jié)。它開始于11月中旬一個寒冷多風(fēng)的日子。我記得那天的風(fēng)，因為奶奶到達(dá)時她的灰頭發(fā)亂作一團(tuán)。也就是從那天開始，奶奶搬來和我們一起住。不知怎么的，當(dāng)時我并不知道她病了。也許是我年紀(jì)太小了，也許是她隱藏得太好了，也許是我對即將到來的圣誕節(jié)感到太興奮了。
奶奶搬來和我們一起住以后，大多數(shù)時間都待在爐火旁棕色的沙發(fā)上。有時她很安靜，但她看起來很高興。當(dāng)我給圣誕老人寫信告訴他我想要的禮物時，奶奶盡力幫助我。她的手有點顫抖，但她在信封上寫了“圣誕老人，北極”。
到了12月，我們的興奮與日俱增——街上的彩燈都亮起來了，圣誕卡片也都收到了，當(dāng)然還有隨處可見的雪景。我和奶奶做了糖餅干，將火雞塞滿餡，然后我坐在奶奶的大腿上，我們唱圣誕歌。我最喜歡的歌曲是《雪人》，我喜歡“砰砰砰，砰砰砰，快看小雪人！”的節(jié)拍。奶奶有耐心地唱了一遍又一遍。
在平安夜，奶奶靠著爐火坐著，我們把圣誕樹立起來。我把大部分裝飾品掛在樹枝上。

然后她開始唱，“哦，圣誕樹，哦，圣誕樹，你讓我的心里充滿了音樂……”
睡覺前，奶奶和我留了一盤糖餅干給圣誕老人，并在我的床尾放了一只長筒襪。我記得奶奶坐在我的床上輕聲唱歌，直到我睡著。

午餐吃得很晚，但這是一件熱鬧而令人興奮的大事。我們戴上傻傻的紙帽子，吃塞有土豆的大火雞，隨后又吃圣誕布丁。大衛(wèi)在嘴里塞了太多布丁，以至于都吞不下去了。
“布丁好吃嗎？”奶奶問道。
“嗯，嗯，嗯，”大衛(wèi)說。
凱絲阿姨覺得這沒什么好笑的，但我們都覺得好笑。奶奶開懷大笑，她的紙帽子掉了下來。
那個圣誕節(jié)過后幾周，奶奶去世了。但我經(jīng)常想起她，尤其是在圣誕節(jié)。每年我都會拿出她給我的音樂盒。我把奶奶的紙帽子和那年圣誕節(jié)她幫我寫的信放在里面。幾年前，當(dāng)我不再相信圣誕老人的時候，媽媽把信還給了我。當(dāng)我想到是什么讓圣誕節(jié)如此神奇時，我想到的不只是禮物和圣誕老人。還有我對奶奶的記憶。現(xiàn)在我成了那個每年做糖餅干的人，我總是做一個G形狀的餅干——G代表著奶奶。
