動詞不定式和動名詞作賓語
當我們要表示“想做某事、需要做某事或決定做某事"時,就會出現兩個動詞連用的情況,這時可以使用want to do sth, need to do sth 和 decide to do sth等表達方式。行為動詞后的動詞都采用了“to+動詞原形”的結構。我們把這種結構稱為動詞不定式。動詞不定式沒有人稱和數的變化,在句中不能作謂語。那么動詞不定式有什么樣的語法功能呢 首先,它可以在句中充當賓語成分。
e.g. I wanted to see the Beijing opera, so Li Ling offered to take me there. 我想看京劇,所以李玲就提出帶我去看。
e.g. We only planned to watch for an hour.
我們原先只打算看一個小時。
e.g. I hope to understand more next time.
我希望下次能懂得多一些。
在英語中,并不是所有的動詞都可以用不定式作賓語。有一些動詞只能用動名詞作賓語。
e.g. She enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions
from around the world.
e.g. He practices playing the guitar for two hours every day.
一般來說,用不定式作賓語時,所表示的多為將來的行為。但是,在具體使用中同學們還要注意記憶,因為動詞不同,對其后動詞形式的要求也不同。
e.g. He avoided answering the difficult question.
e.g. They are learning to adapt to new technologies.
動詞不定式和動名詞作賓語
常見的后面接不定式作賓語的動詞有:plan, decide, want, hope, offer, learn 等。
e.g. They plan to launch a new product in June.
e.g. We decided to donate the money to charity.

常見的后面接動名詞作賓語的動詞有:enjoy, practise, finish, avoid, keep, mind 等。
e.g. She enjoys swimming in the ocean every morning.
e.g. You need to practise speaking English daily.
動詞不定式和動名詞作賓語
要注意的是,還有一些動詞,既可以用不定式又可以用動名詞作賓語,但表達的意義可能不同。試比較:
e.g. I remember seeing her.
e.g. You must remember to lock the door before leaving the house.
