1. Hello, everyone! Welcome to our beautiful school.
大家好!歡迎來到我們美麗的學(xué)校。
everyone=everybody 意思是“每個人”,不指具體哪個人,而是強調(diào)整體。做主語時,謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)。
e.g. Everyone is here.所有人都在這里。
welcome to+地點:歡迎到……來。
e.g. Welcome to China.歡迎來到中國。
Language points
2. Now, let me show you around.
(1) let sb. do sth. 讓某人做某事
let 常用在祈使句中,表示建議。let 后加動詞原形。
e.g. Let me help you. 讓我?guī)湍惆伞?br/>辨析:Let us 與Let’s Let us 不包括聽話人在內(nèi)。
Let’s 包括說話人和聽話人雙方在內(nèi)。
e.g. Let us go to the library. 咱們?nèi)D書館吧。
Let’s try it again. 讓我們再試試吧。
(2) show / / v. 帶領(lǐng)
e.g. Please show me around! 請帶我四處逛逛吧!
Please show me around your school.
請帶領(lǐng)我參觀你們的學(xué)校吧。
拓展: show 用作動詞時,還可意為“給……看”。常用于show sb. sth.=show sth. to sb. 結(jié)構(gòu)中,意為“向某人展示某物”。
e.g. I showed my mother a new school uniform.
= I showed a new school uniform to my mother.
我給我媽媽看了一套新的校服。
3. This is the playground.這是操場。
That is the school library.那是學(xué)校圖書館。
This is...“這是……”,用于介紹身邊的人或物品,This is 沒有縮寫形式。
That is...“那是……”,用于介紹遠(yuǎn)處的人或物品,此時可縮寫為That’s。
e.g. Look! This is an eraser and that is a ruler.
看!這是一塊橡皮擦,那是一把尺子。
4. In front of us is the classroom building.
(1) in front of... 在……前面,反義詞behind。
e.g. There is a clear river in front of my village.
在我的村莊前面有一條清澈的小河。
The library is behind the school playground.
圖書館在學(xué)校操場的后面。
辨析:in front of 與in the front of in front of “在……前面”,所指事物在該事物的外部。
in the front of “在……前部”,所指部分在該事物的內(nèi)部,是該事物中的一部分。
e.g. The pay phone is in front of the library. 付費電話在圖書館前面。
There is a desk in the front of the classroom. 教室前面有一張課桌。
5. We have classes in it. 我們在里面上課。
have classes= have lessons上課
e.g. We have classes from Monday to Friday.
我們星期一到星期五有課。
6. Look at that building! 看那棟樓!
e.g. Look at this photo! 看看這張照片!
Look! Who is over there 看! 誰在那邊?
look at sb./ sth. 意為“看某人/某物”,強調(diào)看的動作。 look 為不及物動詞,意為“看,瞧”,單獨使用時,用來引起對方注意。
7. It looks like a book. 它看起來像一本書。
e.g. It looks like a bottle. 它看起來像一個瓶子。
That photograph doesn’t look like her at all. 那張照片看上去一點也不像她。
look like sth./ sb. 是“動詞+介詞”構(gòu)成的短語,人稱和時態(tài)的變化體現(xiàn)在 look 上,意為“看起來像某物/某人”。 look like 后面要加名詞、動名詞或代詞。
辨析:look like 與be like look like 用于疑問句時,詢問某人或某物的外貌特征;在陳述句中表示說話人認(rèn)為某人或某物像什么。
be like 用于疑問句時,詢問某人的性格、品行或某物的情況;在陳述句中表示說話人的判斷。
e.g. —What does Tony look like 托尼長什么樣?
—He is tall and thin./He has short hair.
他又高又瘦。/ 他留短發(fā)。
What does sb. look like 意為“某人長什么樣?”,用來詢問某人的長相或外貌特征,常用的答語有:
(1)主語+ be 動詞+形容詞.
(2)主語+ have/has + 形容詞+ 名詞.
(3)根據(jù)人的外貌特征直接回答。
—What is he like 他是個什么樣的人?
—He is just like everybody else. 他和別人一樣。

辨析:borrow 與lend borrow 指“借入”。向某人借某物用“borrow sth. from sb.”。
lend 指“借出”。把某物借給某人用“l(fā)end sth. to sb.”。
e.g. She borrows a book from the library and lends it to me.
