Last autumn, my family took a train to Scotland for a holiday. We stayed in a comfortable house in the countryside with beautiful scenery. I live in a big city, so everything seemed so different. For example, beside the house, there was a huge forest.
On the last day, early in the morning, I went to the forest to explore. While there, something made a noise. I turned around and was surprised to see a deer.
I ran home and told my parents what I saw. My mum smiled and said, "The deer is probably looking for food and hoping to get some from you." What a wonderful experience I had! I really hope I can go back again.

Last winter, my family visited Sanya, Hainan. We stayed near Yalong Bay, a beach with soft white sand and clear blue water. I swam every day and collected seashells. My dad even helped me build a sandcastle, though the waves washed it away!
The highlight was snorkeling at Wuzhizhou Island. At first, I was scared to dive, but the instructor encouraged me. When I saw colorful fish and coral reefs underwater, I felt so proud!
On our last day, we ate fresh seafood by the beach and watched the sunset. The sky turned orange, and the food tasted amazing. This trip taught me that trying new things brings joy. I’ll never forget Sanya’s beauty!
