argue about sth就某事爭論
eg: Let’s not argue about small details.咱們不要在細(xì)枝末節(jié)上爭論了。
【拓展】argue 的名詞是argument,意為“爭吵;論點(diǎn)”。
eg: They had an argument yesterday. 他們昨天吵架了。

eg：He worked hard to make up for the lost time.

(2) prefer doing sth.（更喜歡做某事），強(qiáng)調(diào)習(xí)慣性、長期性的偏好
eg：He prefers reading alone in the evening. 他更喜歡晚上獨(dú)自閱讀。
They prefer hiking to staying indoors. 比起待在室內(nèi)，他們更愛徒步。
(3) prefer to do sth.（更傾向于做某事），側(cè)重具體某次的選擇或意愿
eg：I prefer to eat out tonight. 今晚我更想出去吃。
She prefers to travel by train. 她更傾向于坐火車旅行。
(4) prefer A to B（比起 B，更喜歡 A），A 和 B 為同類事物（名詞 / 動名詞）
eg：I prefer reading to watching TV.（比起看電視，我更愛讀書。）
He prefers tea to coffee.（比起咖啡，他更愛喝茶。）
