1. I’m starting a test on animals and plants. 我要開始一場關于動植物的測試。
在此句中，on 是介詞 ，意為 “關于；有關” ，用來表明 test（測試）的內容主題是 animals and plants 。

【辨析】about與on
on 強調專業性、學術性或嚴肅性，內容通常是系統的、深入的，涉及理論、研究或專門領域。
about 側重日常性、通俗性或泛泛而談，內容更偏向非正式的內容。

largest是large的最高級形式。最高級前面一般會有定冠詞the進行修飾。
形容詞和副詞的最高級一般分為規則變化和不規則變化。
規則變化如下：
構成方法 比較級
單音節詞和部分雙音節詞 一般情況下，最高級詞尾加-est tallest；shortest；fastest
以字母e結尾的詞，最高級詞尾加-st largest；latest
重讀閉音節詞尾只有一個輔音字母時，先雙寫該輔音字母，然后最高級詞尾加-est biggest；fattest；thinnest
以“輔音字母+ y”結尾的雙音節詞，先把y改為i，然后最高級詞尾加-est easiest；heaviest；earliest
多音節詞和部分雙音節詞 詞前加most構成最高級 most beautiful；most popular

限定詞包括冠詞（the）、形容詞性物主代詞（my, their）、指示代詞（these, those）等。表示 “…… 中的一個”，強調在整體中選取一個個體。

【主謂一致】
one of 結構作主語時，謂語動詞用單數（因為核心詞是 “one”，表示 “一個”）。
eg：One of the students is from Canada. 這些學生中有一個來自加拿大。
One of these books has a missing page. 這些書中有一本缺頁了。
【最高級搭配】
“one of” 常與 形容詞最高級 連用，構成 one of the + 最高級 + 復數名詞，
表示 “最…… 的…… 之一”。
