What is the purpose of a letter of advice
What kind of aspects should be included in such kind of letter
建議信的目的是針對(duì)有關(guān)問(wèn)題進(jìn)行分析，并針對(duì)這些問(wèn)題提出自己的看法和合理的建議。
建議信的基本框架：
1.開(kāi)頭( beginning)—開(kāi)門(mén)見(jiàn)山,向?qū)Ψ疥愂鲎约旱挠^點(diǎn)(state your idea)。
2.主體( body)—對(duì)所提出的問(wèn)題進(jìn)行分析并說(shuō)明理由,接著提出自己的建議(reasons and evidence)。
3.結(jié)尾(ending)—呼應(yīng)開(kāi)頭，重申觀點(diǎn)(restate your opinion)。

Read a letter offering some advice on page 18 and then solve the questions below.

Her/His best friend spends too much time playing computer games online.
Yes. Susan advises Worried Friend to encourage Chen Lei to try new hobbies and discuss the problem together; I think Chen Lei will follow the 3.advice, because they are best friends.
I advise Chen Lei to take some outdoor activities such as playing balls or reading interesting books or even listening to good music. We can go walking together. If he is bored, he can turn to me for help, thus we can have fun together.

Worried Friend is worried that his or her friend, Chen Lei, plays computer games too often and spends too much time online.
1) Talk to her/his friend about his behaviour.

She also talks about the negative effects of computer addiction.

Perhaps the advice is useful, because it is always good to talk to a friend about his or her problems and offer advice.

I would tell Chen Lei that he should spend his time more productively with an eye on his future. For example, instead of playing computer games, he could learn computer programming. Who knows He might become a great figure in that field when he’s older.

I recommend that you talk to your friend about his behaviour. It is not unusual for teenagers of your generation to be attracted to computer games and the online world. But spending too much time online is unhealthy and makes it very difficult to focus on other things in life. Some students even become addicted to the Internet and cannot concentrate on school and family life.
I think you should encourage your friend to try new hobbies. Why not discuss the problem together
