Here are several students’ opinions on doing chores.
Doing chores is great for growing up and becoming independent. The more chores I do, the more I learn to take care of myself.
Doing chores with family can be fun. When my parents and I clean the house together on weekends, we chat and laugh while working. It makes us closer.
Doing chores helps me better understand my parents’ hard work. Before, I didn’t notice how much work keeping a home needs. Now, after doing laundry or cleaning the bathroom, I’m thankful for my parents’ daily efforts.
Doing chores is also a kind of exercise. Sweeping, mopping --they get me moving. It’s a simple and useful way to stay active.
Doing chores helps me feel responsible for my home. When I sweep the floor or do the dishes, I know I’m making our home tidy and comfortable.
Doing chores can calm my mind. When I focus on a chore, like carefully making the bed, I find a moment of peace.
