當(dāng)主語(yǔ)部分相對(duì)于謂語(yǔ)部分而言太長(zhǎng)時(shí),常把主語(yǔ)部分移到句尾,在主語(yǔ)的位置放上it。it沒(méi)有具體的意義,僅用于使句子顯得平衡,不頭重腳輕。 it 作形式主語(yǔ)時(shí)常代替三種語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu):不定式(短語(yǔ))、動(dòng)詞 ing形式(短語(yǔ))和從句。
一、it代替不定式(短語(yǔ))作形式主語(yǔ)
it 代替不定式(短語(yǔ))作形式主語(yǔ)的常見(jiàn)句型:
(1)It+be+形容詞+(for/of sb.) to do sth.
(2)It+be+名詞+to do sth.
(3)It takes/took (sb.) some time to do sth.
(4)It be up to sb.to do sth.

三、it代替從句作形式主語(yǔ)

The Words That Changed A Nation
On a grey afternoon on 19 November 1863,a tall,thin man mounted① a platform in a field in Gettysburg,Pennsylvania and began to speak. 一、it代替不定式(短語(yǔ))作形式主語(yǔ)
it 代替不定式(短語(yǔ))作形式主語(yǔ)的常見(jiàn)句型:
(1)It+be+形容詞+(for/of sb.) to do sth.
(2)It+be+名詞+to do sth.
(3)It takes/took (sb.) some time to do sth.
