Try these tricks to make sure yours builds up.Watch movies“If you see the movie version of your favourite book you're likely to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of the words in it,” says Neuman, professor of Childhood and Literacy Education at New York University. “Seeing and reading something on the same topic is really important.”Read magazinesIf you want to improve vocabulary, don't just flip through your favourite magazine, really read it.Listen to how words soundMany people won't remember tricky words unless they come across them frequently. But if you hear a word that you think sounds interesting, you become word conscious (有意識的) and start using it yourself, says Neuman.Join a book club“Book clubs are a wonderful strategy to learn new words,” says Neuman. Not only will it force you to set aside time in your day to read, but it's also a good way to discover books you might not normally be drawn to.Listen to the radioThose types of programs can expose you to topics you may not be familiar with. D.A website.BWith a thirst for a new challenge, I decided to begin my language journey and my only regret is that I didn't start earlier. Since starting to learn, I have made good progress. The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) is a test of Chinese language for non-native speakers. In July 2020, I passed my HSK3 exam with a score of 100 percent. I am now almost ready to start HSK5.Learning to speak Chinese isn't as insurmountable as I once thought. When I speak to native speakers in Chinese, they almost always understand me. I also find it not too difficult to remember characters and I am now even able to write over 400 characters. I find studying the language relaxing and worthwhile, particularly writing the characters. The thing I find most challenging is listening since native speakers talk at such a speed. I can't always understand what's been said, but my weekly online language exchanges help with this greatly.Despite my progress, it has still been the challenge I desire and has taken a lot of hard work. Furthermore, there is a long way to go before I reach my goal of fluency. The key to progress is to be patient and persistent (堅持不懈的). The satisfaction that comes from simple things like ordering food in Chinese, buying things on the Internet or communicating with a taxi driver makes all the hard work worth it.My biggest takeaway from learning Chinese is that it's not only doable but can also be enjoyable. Learning Chinese not only helped me in day-to-day life, but deepened my cultural understanding of such a colorful and beautiful country. Considering where I am now, compared to two years ago, as long as I keep studying hard, I can image a time when I'll be able to read famous Chinese novels not in English but in the original text. So, to all my non-Chinese friends, I always say “Don't give up. Embrace (擁抱) the challenge.”24.What is the author's regret?( )A.He had a new challenge.B.He decided to begin his language journey.C.He didn't start learning Chinese earlier.D.He passed his HSK3 exam.25.What does the underlined word “insurmountable” mean in Paragraph 2?( )A.Easy to upset.B.Possible to change.C.Comfortable to study.D.Hard to overcome.26.Why does the author think learning Chinese is satisfying?( )A.It can make the author proud.B.It makes the author know more Chinese.C.It can be useful in daily life.D.It makes the author more competitive.27.Which can be a suitable title for the text?( )A.Passing exams isn't a piece of cakeB.Learning Chinese isn't unbeatableC.Explore the historical and cultural countryD.Deepen understanding of Chinese cultureCThere are thousands of languages in the world. But which language is the oldest Experts use different methods to find out the age of a language.Finding the oldest language is a challenging task, according to Danny Hieber, an expert in the study of endangered languages. “If we think that most languages can date back to an original human language, all languages are equally old,” Hieber said. However, it's impossible to find out such language—the direct ancestor of every language in the world. Accordingly, some experts believe that the “oldest language” should belong to one with a well-established written record. Many of the earliest recorded examples of writing come from languages that used cuneiform script (楔形文字). Among these languages are Sumerian and Akkadian, both dating back at least 4,600 years. Experts have also found Egyptian hieroglyphs that date to around the same historical period. These hieroglyphs, which can be translated into “He has united the Two Lands for his son, Dual King Peribsen,” are considered the earliest complete sentence ever discovered.Experts generally agree that Sumerian, Akkadian and Egyptian are the oldest languages with a clear written record. All three are extinct,__meaning that they are no longer used and don't have any living followers which can carry the language to the next generation. As for the oldest language that is still spoken, several competitors appear. Hebrew and Arabic stand out among such languages for having timelines that experts can reasonably find, according to Hieber. Although these earliest written languages only date back around 3,000 years, Hieber said, “both of them belong to the Afroasiatic language family, whose roots date back to 18,000 to 8,000 B.C.E., or about 20,000 to 10,000 years ago.” Even with this wide period of time, it is widely accepted that Afroasiatic is the oldest language family. But the exact point in time when Hebrew and Arabic separated from other Afroasiatic languages is heavily debated among experts.28.How do experts determine the age of a language?( )A.By studying its spoken dialects.B.By analyzing its basic grammar.C.By examining its written records.D.By comparing it to other languages.29.What is the value of the Egyptian hieroglyphs?( )A.They're an example of cuneiform script.B.They belong to the Afroasiatic language.C.They provide evidence of the oldest language.D.They're the earliest-known complete sentences.30.What does the underlined word “extinct” in Paragraph 4 mean?( )A.Gone. B.Ancient.C.Outdated. D.Active.31.What is the main disagreement among experts regarding Hebrew and Arabic?( )A.The reason for their standing out.B.The exact time of their separation.C.The appearance of their competitors.D.The roots of earliest written languages.DLanguage learning apps are very popular now and offer opportunities to learn vocabulary and practice grammar. But there has been a discussion about just how effective such apps can be.Among the most popular apps are Duolingo and Busuu. A former research found positive results on the use of them. But it mainly concentrated on studies with learners who had signed up for language courses and these apps worked as an after class support, so the results were not always reliable. A recent study of 4,095 Busuu users has been carried out to find out if users can actually learn a language with an app.Busuu provides learning materials for 12 different languages. It offers special models where some contents are ready for use for free while some contents are not. We find that its users are an even mix of men and women. More than half consider themselves to be at the beginner level because there is a reduction in users as their language levels go up. Most people use the app because of personal interest, or because they want to study or live abroad. Female users are likely to use it less often but for longer periods of time than male users. Feedback in the app is highly thought of. More than 92% of the users say that the app has met their expectations and 86%consider the app as very good or good. In fact, more than 80% of the users surveyed strongly agree that using the app has helped them improve their knowledge of the language they are learning.Besides, language learning apps also create an environment where mistakes are only known to the users, and this can address the performance nervousness that many learners suffer from when asked to speak a foreign language. So language teachers should encourage their students to use them to do the grammar work, leaving precious class time for more language communication.32.What's the reason why the results of the former research weren't always reliable?( )A.It only considered users of a limited kind.B.It just focused on positive results.C.It was only carried out before class.D.It used out of date methods.33.What can we learn about the app Busuu from the text?( )A.It's used by more advanced learners.B.All the contents are free to use.C.Most users consider it satisfying.D.It's more popular with female learners.34.The underlined word “address” in the last paragraph can be replaced by “________”.( )A.organise B.solveC.increase D.practice35.What is the main idea of the text?( )A.Language learning apps are very popular with most language teachers.B.Students won't suffer nervousness in learning languages by using Busuu.C.Language learning apps are effective and satisfactory to language learners.D.Students should be required to use apps for homework after class.第二節(共5小題;每小題2.5分,滿分12.5分)閱讀下面短文,從短文后的選項中選出可以填入空白處的最佳選項。選項中有兩項為多余選項。Learning English can be hard, but don't give up! She finished college at home in Britain, Pat chose to visit Latin America first, so she managed to get a job as an English teacher in a secondary school in Bolivia. Pat spoke a little Spanish, so she was able to communicate with her students even though they did not know much English.A sentence she had once read somewhere stuck in her mind: if you dream in a foreign language, it means that you have really mastered it. Pat repeated this sentence to her students and she hoped that someday she would dream in Spanish and they would dream in English. One day, Tim, one of the worst students in her class, came up to her and explained in Spanish that he had not done his homework. He said that he had gone to bed early and had slept badly. Pat was quite angry with him, for she did not think that his explanation had anything to do with his homework. But Tim told her that he dreamed all night and his dream was in English.“In English!” Pat thought. She was greatly surprised, since Tim was such a bad student. She was also secretly jealous. Her dreams were still not in Spanish, but she decided to encourage her student and asked him to tell her about his dream.“All the people in my dream spoke English,” Tim said. “And all the signs were in English. All the newspapers and magazines and all the TV programs were in English.”“But that's wonderful,” said Pat. “What did all the people say to you?” she asked.“I'm sorry, Miss Jones. That's why I slept so badly all through the night. I didn't understand a word they said. It was a nightmare!” Tim answered.注意:1.續寫詞數應為150個左右;2.請按如下格式在相應位置作答。After hearing the boy's words, Pat, In order to inspire her students to speak English, Pat 第五單元檢測卷 時間:120分鐘 滿分:150分較易題(占比60%) 中檔題(占比30%) 拔高題(占比10%)題型 聽力 閱讀 七選五 完形填空 語法填空 應用文寫作 讀后續寫A B C D難度 ★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★★ ★★★第一部分 聽力(共兩節,滿分30分)第一節(共5小題;每小題1.5分,滿分7.5分)掃一掃·聽錄音聽下面5段對話。每段對話后有一個小題,從題中所給的A、B、C三個選項中選出最佳選項。聽完每段對話后,你都有10秒鐘的時間來回答有關小題和閱讀下一小題。每段對話僅讀一遍。Text 1M:Did Henry plant all the trees himself W:He planned to, but he hurt his hand when he rode a bike. I'm glad to be here to share my opinion about English studying. I'm in my first year in university. Many of you said that listening in English is difficult. Well, it is true for me as well. I remember when I was learning English, I could understand when my teacher was talking to me, but actually I couldn't understand some of the news reporters when I listened to the news. But now my listening has improved a lot. Here are some ideas that may help you improve your listening in English. First of all, don't worry if you don't understand every word you hear. That's impossible! You should concentrate only on the most important words. Secondly, try to get extra listening practice outside the classroom. For example, you can go to the student center and practice listening with their CDs. You should also listen to the radio in English and watch English movies. Next, it's a good idea to listen to presentations from the Internet. And it's easy to download presentations onto your computer. Embrace (擁抱) the challenge.”篇章導讀:本文是一篇記敘文。文章主要講述的是作者學習漢語的經歷和感受。24.What is the author's regret?( )A.He had a new challenge.B.He decided to begin his language journey.C.He didn't start learning Chinese earlier.D.He passed his HSK3 exam.答案:C解析:細節理解題。根據第一段中的“With a thirst for ... didn't start earlier.(懷著對新挑戰的渴望,我決定開始我的語言之旅,我唯一的遺憾是沒有早點開始。)”可知,作者后悔的是沒有早點開始學習漢語。故選C。25.What does the underlined word “insurmountable” mean in Paragraph 2?( )A.Easy to upset.B.Possible to change.C.Comfortable to study.D.Hard to overcome.答案:D解析:詞義猜測題。根據畫線詞后的“When I speak to ... over 400 characters.(當我和母語者用漢語交談時,他們幾乎都能理解我。我還發現記憶漢字沒那么難,現在我甚至能寫超過400個漢字了。)”可知,作者現在發現學習說漢語并不是很難,結合畫線詞所在句中的“isn't”可知,畫線詞的意思應與“困難的”意義相近。故選D。26.Why does the author think learning Chinese is satisfying?( )A.It can make the author proud.B.It makes the author know more Chinese.C.It can be useful in daily life.D.It makes the author more competitive.答案:C解析:推理判斷題。根據第三段中的“The satisfaction that ... the hard work worth it.(一些小事帶來的滿足感,比如用中文點餐,在網上購物或是和出租車司機交流,讓我感到所有的辛苦都是值得的。)”可推知,因為日常生活中能使用漢語,所以作者認為學習中文令他感到滿足。故選C。27.Which can be a suitable title for the text?( )A.Passing exams isn't a piece of cakeB.Learning Chinese isn't unbeatableC.Explore the historical and cultural countryD.Deepen understanding of Chinese culture答案:B解析:標題判斷題。根據最后一段中的“My biggest takeaway from learning Chinese is that it's not only doable but can also be enjoyable.(我學習中文最大的收獲就是,學習中文不僅是可行的,而且是充滿樂趣的。)”以及上文中作者學習漢語的經歷和感受可知,B項(學習中文并不是不可戰勝的)概括文章的內容,適合作為本文標題。故選B。CThere are thousands of languages in the world. But the exact point in time when Hebrew and Arabic separated from other Afroasiatic languages is heavily debated among experts.篇章導讀:本文是一篇說明文。文章主要介紹了專家是如何確定語言的年齡以及一些已經滅絕了的古老語言。28.How do experts determine the age of a language?( )A.By studying its spoken dialects.B.By analyzing its basic grammar.C.By examining its written records.D.By comparing it to other languages.答案:C解析:細節理解題。根據第二段中的“Accordingly, some experts believe ... well established written record.”可知,專家通過審查書面記錄來確定語言的年齡。故選C。29.What is the value of the Egyptian hieroglyphs?( )A.They're an example of cuneiform script.B.They belong to the Afroasiatic language.C.They provide evidence of the oldest language.D.They're the earliest-known complete sentences.答案:D解析:細節理解題。根據第三段中的“These hieroglyphs, which ... sentence ever discovered.”可知,埃及象形文字的價值在于它是已知最早的完整句子。故選D。30.What does the underlined word “extinct” in Paragraph 4 mean?( )A.Gone. So language teachers should encourage their students to use them to do the grammar work, leaving precious class time for more language communication.篇章導讀:本文是一篇說明文。文章主要介紹了語言學習應用程序被證明在學習過程中對學習者有幫助。32.What's the reason why the results of the former research weren't always reliable?( )A.It only considered users of a limited kind.B.It just focused on positive results.C.It was only carried out before class.D.It used out of date methods.答案:A解析:細節理解題。根據第二段中的“But it mainly concentrated on ... not always reliable.(但它主要集中在那些上過語言課程的學習者身上,并且這些應用程序只是作為課后支持,所以結果并不總是可靠。)”可知,以前的研究結果并不總是可靠是因為它只考慮上過語言課程的用戶,即它只考慮有限類別的用戶。故選A。33.What can we learn about the app Busuu from the text?( )A.It's used by more advanced learners.B.All the contents are free to use.C.Most users consider it satisfying.D.It's more popular with female learners.答案:C解析:推理判斷題。根據第四段中的“More than 92% of the users ... or good.(超過92%的用戶表示這款應用滿足了他們的期望,86%的用戶認為這款應用非常好或不錯。)”可推知,大多數用戶認為Busuu這一應用程序令人滿意。故選C。34.The underlined word “address” in the last paragraph can be replaced by “________”.( )A.organise B.solveC.increase D.practice答案:B解析:詞義猜測題。根據畫線詞所在句“Besides, language learning apps ... speak a foreign language.”可知,語言學習應用程序創造了一個只有用戶知道自己錯誤的環境,這可以解決學習者被要求說外語時表現緊張的問題。因此畫線詞意思是“解決”。故選B。35.What is the main idea of the text?( )A.Language learning apps are very popular with most language teachers.B.Students won't suffer nervousness in learning languages by using Busuu.C.Language learning apps are effective and satisfactory to language learners.D.Students should be required to use apps for homework after class. Learning English can be hard, but don't give up! It was a nightmare!” Tim answered.注意:1.續寫詞數應為150個左右;2.請按如下格式在相應位置作答。After hearing the boy's words, Pat, In order to inspire her students to speak English, Pat 寫前導讀:本文是一篇記敘文。文章主要講述了略懂西班牙語的Pat (帕特)在玻利維亞一所中學教授英語,她鼓勵孩子們說:“如果你用外語做夢,那就意味著你真正掌握了這門語言。” 學生Tim (蒂姆)把她的話作為自己未能完成作業的借口。聽了Tim的話后Pat會怎么做呢?為了激勵學生說英語,Pat是怎么做的呢?[精彩范文]After hearing the boy's words, Pat, the English teacher, began to shake her belief in the sentence stuck in her mind. Though she knew only a little Spanish, she decided to scold him using the language. In order to inspire her students to speak English, Pat arranged for several people in the secondary school to have weekly talks, their topics ranging from travelling around the world to language learning methods. After several weeks, many of her students came running to her, telling her that they finally dreamed in English. This time, instead of being jealous, Pat felt proud of them, saying that she would also try her best to learn Spanish so that one day she would also dream in Spanish.21(共96張PPT)WELCOME UNIT第五單元檢測卷時間:120分鐘 滿分:150分較易題(占比60%) 中檔題(占比30%) 拔高題(占比10%)題型 聽力 閱讀 七選五 完形填空 語法填空 應用文 寫作 讀后續寫A B C D難度 ★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★★ ★★★第一部分第二部分第三部分第四部分目錄CONTENTS1234第一部分第一部分 聽力(共兩節,滿分30分)第一節(共5小題;每小題1.5分,滿分7.5分)聽下面5段對話。每段對話后有一個小題,從題中所給的A、B、C三個選項中選出最佳選項。聽完每段對話后,你都有10秒鐘的時間來回答有關小題和閱讀下一小題。每段對話僅讀一遍。Text 11.Who planted the trees?( )A.The woman. Here are some ideas that may help you improve your listening in English.First of all, don’t worry if you don’t understand every word you hear. That’s impossible! You should concentrate only on the most important words.Secondly, try to get extra listening practice outside the classroom. For example, you can go to the student center and practice listening with their CDs. You should also listen to the radio in English and watch English movies.Next, it’s a good idea to listen to presentations from the Internet. And it’s easy to download presentations onto your computer. Finally, it's a good idea to listen to pop songs while you read the words at the same time. There are lots of Internet sites that give you the words of the most popular songs. That's all from me, and I hope this will help.18.Who is the speaker?( )A.An English teacher. B.A university student.C.A news reporter.19.What does the speaker suggest?( )A.Practicing listening more after class.B.Trying to understand every word when listening.C.Listening to pop songs without reading the words.答案:B答案答案:A20.What is the speaker mainly talking about?( )A.How to understand teachers better.B.How to find interesting materials.C.How to improve English listening.答案:C答案第二部分第二部分 閱讀(共兩節,滿分 50 分)第一節(共15小題;每小題2.5分,滿分37.5分)閱讀下列短文,從每題所給的A、B、C、D四個選項中選出最佳選項。AWays to Improve Vocabulary in Just One DayThe average American has a vocabulary in the thousands. Embrace (擁抱) the challenge.”篇章導讀:本文是一篇記敘文。文章主要講述的是作者學習漢語的經歷和感受。篇章導讀24.What is the author's regret?( )A.He had a new challenge.B.He decided to begin his language journey.C.He didn't start learning Chinese earlier.D.He passed his HSK3 exam.解析:細節理解題。根據第一段中的“With a thirst for ... didn't start earlier.(懷著對新挑戰的渴望,我決定開始我的語言之旅,我唯一的遺憾是沒有早點開始。)”可知,作者后悔的是沒有早點開始學習漢語。故選C。答案解析25.What does the underlined word “insurmountable” mean in Paragraph 2?( )A.Easy to upset. All three are extinct, meaning that they are no longer used and don't have any living followers which can carry the language to the next generation. But the exact point in time when Hebrew and Arabic separated from other Afroasiatic languages is heavily debated among experts.篇章導讀:本文是一篇說明文。文章主要介紹了專家是如何確定語言的年齡以及一些已經滅絕了的古老語言。篇章導讀28.How do experts determine the age of a language?( )A.By studying its spoken dialects.B.By analyzing its basic grammar.C.By examining its written records.D.By comparing it to other languages.解析:細節理解題。根據第二段中的“Accordingly, some experts believe ... well established written record.”可知,專家通過審查書面記錄來確定語言的年齡。故選C。答案解析29.What is the value of the Egyptian hieroglyphs?( )A.They're an example of cuneiform script.B.They belong to the Afroasiatic language.C.They provide evidence of the oldest language.D.They're the earliest-known complete sentences.解析:細節理解題。根據第三段中的“These hieroglyphs, which ... sentence ever discovered.”可知,埃及象形文字的價值在于它是已知最早的完整句子。故選D。答案解析30.What does the underlined word “extinct” in Paragraph 4 mean?( )A.Gone. B.Ancient.C.Outdated. D.Active.解析:詞義猜測題。根據畫線詞后文“meaning that they are ... to the next generation”可知,這三種語言不再被使用,也沒有任何活著的追隨者可以把這種語言傳給下一代,即這三種語言都消失了。由此可推知,畫線詞意為“消失了的”。故選A。答案解析31.What is the main disagreement among experts regarding Hebrew and Arabic?( )A.The reason for their standing out.B.The exact time of their separation.C.The appearance of their competitors.D.The roots of earliest written languages.解析:細節理解題。根據最后一段中的“But the exact point in time ... is heavily debated among experts.”可知,專家們對希伯來語和阿拉伯語的主要分歧是它們分離出來的確切時間。故選B。答案解析DLanguage learning apps are very popular now and offer opportunities to learn vocabulary and practice grammar. Female users are likely to use it less often but for longer periods of time than male users.Feedback in the app is highly thought of. So language teachers should encourage their students to use them to do the grammar work, leaving precious class time for more language communication.篇章導讀:本文是一篇說明文。文章主要介紹了語言學習應用程序被證明在學習過程中對學習者有幫助。篇章導讀32.What's the reason why the results of the former research weren't always reliable?( )A.It only considered users of a limited kind.B.It just focused on positive results.C.It was only carried out before class.D.It used out of date methods.解析:細節理解題。根據第二段中的“But it mainly concentrated on ... not always reliable.(但它主要集中在那些上過語言課程的學習者身上,并且這些應用程序只是作為課后支持,所以結果并不總是可靠。)”可知,以前的研究結果并不總是可靠是因為它只考慮上過語言課程的用戶,即它只考慮有限類別的用戶。故選A。答案解析33.What can we learn about the app Busuu from the text?( )A.It's used by more advanced learners.B.All the contents are free to use.C.Most users consider it satisfying.D.It's more popular with female learners.解析:推理判斷題。根據第四段中的“More than 92% of the users ... or good.(超過92%的用戶表示這款應用滿足了他們的期望,86%的用戶認為這款應用非常好或不錯。)”可推知,大多數用戶認為Busuu這一應用程序令人滿意。故選C。答案解析34.The underlined word “address” in the last paragraph can be replaced by “________”.( )A.organise B.solveC.increase D.practice解析:詞義猜測題。根據畫線詞所在句“Besides, language learning apps ... speak a foreign language.”可知,語言學習應用程序創造了一個只有用戶知道自己錯誤的環境,這可以解決學習者被要求說外語時表現緊張的問題。因此畫線詞意思是“解決”。故選B。答案解析35.What is the main idea of the text?( )A.Language learning apps are very popular with most language teachers.B.Students won't suffer nervousness in learning languages by using Busuu.C.Language learning apps are effective and satisfactory to language learners.D.Students should be required to use apps for homework after class. Learning English can be hard, but don't give up! All the newspapers and magazines and all the TV programs were in English.”“But that’s wonderful,” said Pat. “What did all the people say to you?” she asked.“I’m sorry, Miss Jones. That’s why I slept so badly all through the night. I didn’t understand a word they said. It was a nightmare!” Tim answered.注意:1.續寫詞數應為150個左右;2.請按如下格式在相應位置作答。After hearing the boy's words, Pat,﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍In order to inspire her students to speak English, Pat﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍﹍寫前導讀:本文是一篇記敘文。文章主要講述了略懂西班牙語的Pat (帕特)在玻利維亞一所中學教授英語,她鼓勵孩子們說:“如果你用外語做夢,那就意味著你真正掌握了這門語言。” 學生Tim (蒂姆)把她的話作為自己未能完成作業的借口。聽了Tim的話后Pat會怎么做呢?為了激勵學生說英語,Pat是怎么做的呢?寫前導讀[精彩范文]After hearing the boy's words, Pat, the English teacher, began to shake her belief in the sentence stuck in her mind. Her jealousy had all gone. Staring into the boy's eyes, Pat sensed something wrong hidden there. Obviously, the boy was telling a lie. Seeing the negative effect his behaviour would have on her students, Pat decided to teach the boy a lesson. Though she knew only a little Spanish, she decided to scold him using the language.答案In order to inspire her students to speak English, Pat arranged for several people in the secondary school to have weekly talks, their topics ranging from travelling around the world to language learning methods. After several weeks, many of her students came running to her, telling her that they finally dreamed in English. This time, instead of being jealous, Pat felt proud of them, saying that she would also try her best to learn Spanish so that one day she would also dream in Spanish.答案 展開更多...... 收起↑ 資源列表 06 第五單元檢測卷.mp3 第五單元檢測卷.docx 第五單元檢測卷.pptx 縮略圖、資源來源于二一教育資源庫
