Zhang Yining was a former table tennis player. She is considered to be one of the greatest female table tennis player in the history of the sport. She won four Olympic medals, including the singles and doubles.
Zhang Yining was born on October 5, 1981 in Beijing. At first, she was not a successful table tennis player. Her ability in table tennis was noticed by Wang Biling, who later became her coach. He asked her to go to Beijing Shichahai Sports School. She trained so hard that her training programs took up a lot of her time. There was less time left for her to study. So she was advised by her mother to study well as well as train hard.
With her efforts, she did well both in table tennis and studies. She had a strong will and nothing could stand in her way to get success. It is a pity that she announced her retirement in 2011, but she is still a symbol of success and courage.
