Usually, there are a lot of school rules for students to follow. However, in New Zealand, there is an unusual school called Deep Green Bush School set up by Moncarz. In this school, there are no lessons, no homework and no tests. “We don't do things like telling kids it is time to write or learn. When they get interested in doing it, they do it,” said Moncarz. Please read on to see what the students think of this school.
Wang Qiang, 13, China: The school sounds wonderful, but I don't think it's a good idea for students to study in it. The society is developing so fast. If we study at such schools, we may not catch up with others one day.
Jackie Green, 14, England: What a great school! If my parents allow me to study in it, I will definitely go. However, they always tell me that I should follow rules at school and that if I break school rules, they will punish me by making me do housework.
Bob Smith, 15, America: How exciting the school sounds! If there is a school like Deep Green Bush School in the neighborhood, I will go. And I believe my parents will support me. In their opinion, I'm old enough to make my own decisions.
Amy Fisher, 12, Canada: I'll never ever go to study in such schools. We go to school to get knowledge, not to play. And there's no doubt that my parents won't allow me to go to schools like Deep Green Bush School.

Every family has its own family rules, so does my family. For example, I must finish my homework on time. And I'm not allowed to play computer games, even in my free time or on weekends. I also have to do some chores, such as making the bed, washing my clothes, tidying my bedroom and so on.
I agree that some basic rules in my family are helpful. But I disagree with some of the rules. In my opinion, if I finish my homework and chores, I should be allowed to do things I'm interested in to make me feel relaxed. If so, I think I can study better.(共7張PPT)

In fact, these changes are perfectly normal. But it's important to remember that they'll influence your relationship with your parents. 2__

There are some very good things about open education. This way of teaching allows the students to develop their own interests in many subjects. Open education allows students to be responsible(負責) for their own education. The open classroom may allow them to enjoy learning. Some students will be happier in an open education school. They will not have to worry about grades or rules. But many students will not do well in an open classroom.
For some students, if there are too few rules, they will do little in school. They will not make good use of open education. Because open education is so different from traditional education, these students may have a problem of getting used to making so many choices. For many students, it is important to have some rules in the classroom. A few rules will help them. The last point about open education is that some traditional teachers do not like it. Many teachers do not believe in open education.
You now know what open education is. Some of its good points and bad points have been explained. The writer thinks that open education is only a good idea. It may not work very well in a real class or school. The writer believes that most students, but of course not all students, want some structure in their classes. They would not study those subjects if they did not have to.
Open Education
Advantages Open education makes students realize they are learning for 1 nor for others.
In open classrooms, many students don't need to worry about grades or rules.
Some students find more happiness in open classrooms __2 with traditional classrooms.
Disadvantages Many students cannot prove themselves as good in open classrooms as in traditional classrooms.
There are so many choices for students to 3 that they can't use open education well.
Some teachers are 4 such a way of teaching.

Several years ago I was shopping in a store with my best friend in California. There we saw a young lady with a small boy moving in the opposite direction. The lady didn't see us because she was so angry with her little boy, who kept pulling things off the lower shelves. As the mother became more and more irritated, she started to shout at the child. However, it was no use. So the mother began to shake the boy by the arm and tried to take him away.
Seeing this my friend spoke up—she was a wonderful mother of three. She had never treated a child so hard once in her life. I expected my friend to give the boy's mother a serious mother -to -mother talk about controlling herself and about the effect such behavior would have on a child. But she didn't do that. Instead, my friend said, “What a beautiful little boy! How old is he?”
The young lady answered cautiously, “He's three.”
My friend told the mother how curious the boy seemed and how her own three children were just like him, pulling things off shelves in stores and so interested in all wonderful colors and packages. “He seems so bright and intelligent,” my friend said.
Finally, a shy smile came upon the young lady's face. Then she had the boy in her arms. Gently brushing her hair in front of her eyes, she said, “Yes, he's very smart and curious, but sometimes he wears me out.”
My friend nodded in agreement, “Yes, they always do that. They are so full of energy.”
As we walked away, I heard the mother speaking kindly to the boy, “Let's go home for dinner, honey. I'll have your favorites—macaroni(通心面) and cheese.”
