The Terminal是一部2004年夢工廠出品的電影，由斯蒂芬·斯皮爾伯格執導，湯姆·漢克斯等人主演。
電影以真實事件改編，講述的是一個從東歐小國家來的乘客維克多，他在前往美國途中家鄉發生政變，因此，他成為了沒有國籍的人，既不能入境，也不能出境，只能滯留在機場里等待恢復國籍的一天。一個語言不通的人在快節奏的機場里度過了整整9個月，通過不懈努力，他從一個不起眼的小人物，成為了感化他人的大英雄。
The Terminal, published by Dreamwork in 2004, is directed by Stephen Spielberg, starring Tom Hanks and others.
The film is adapted from（改編自） a real event and tells about a passenger Viktor from a small country in Eastern Europe. His country suffered a military coup（軍事政變） on his way to the United States. He was stuck in the airport waiting for one day to regain his nationality. A person who cannot speak English spent 9 months in a fast-paced(快節奏的) airport. Through unremitting efforts（不懈努力）, he became a hero who influenced（影響） others from an insignificant（微不足道的） person.
The story starts with a peanut can(罐子).
Viktor carries a can with him all the time, and nobody knows what’s in the can.
He came to the US for the promise（諾言） he made to his father. And what’s in the can is jazz, his father’s music dream. He wants to step into（進入）New York to get a signature(簽名) of a famous musician.

Why was he stuck in the terminal(航站樓)？
A military coup(軍事政變) happened to Viktor’s country, so he is a citizen（市民） of nowhere. Therefore, he is not allowed to go anywhere but the terminal.
沒有國籍，維克多既不能進入美國，也不能回到自己的國家，現在他能做的就是在國際候機大廳等待。無法使用自己國家的貨幣，沒有錢，食物購買券丟失，語言不通，又餓又無助的維克多正面臨著如何在這生存的困境。
With no nationality（國籍）, Viktor is not allowed to enter the United States at this time, and he is not allowed to go home either. What he can do now is to wait at the International Transit Lounge(國際候機大廳). Viktor, unable to use his country ’s currency（貨幣）, with no money and food vouchers (食物購買券), is hungry and helpless now, and he is also facing a language issue. How to survive(生存) here is quite a problem for him.

Optimism（樂觀）
Confronted with(面對，面臨) these problems, instead of complaint（抱怨）, he chooses to face them with optimism. Since then, he has started a special life at the airport.

Learning ability
Viktor can’t speak English, so it is difficult for him to communicate with(和…交談) others. He decides to learn English well. We can see he is well-adapted(適應能力強的) with his great learning ability. He sets a good example (為…樹立榜樣) for us.

He is a very trustworthy(守信用的) person. He always keeps his promise（遵守諾言） to everything, just like his promise to his father.

自助者，天助也。維克多通過自己的不懈努力，以他樂觀的精神積極面對困難，做一個誠信、富有同情心并善于學習的人，在航站樓度過9個月后，從最初沒人理會、沒人幫助的情況下，結交到很多朋友，受到人們的幫助，最終進入美國，順利拿到音樂家的簽名，實現了父親的愿望。
God helps those who help themselves. Viktor, being honest, kind and well-adapted, through his unremitting efforts(不懈努力), he actively faced the difficulties with his optimism. At first, no one paid attention to him and no one helped him. After spending 9 months in the terminal, he made many friends, received help from them, and finally entered the United States. He successfully obtained（獲得） the signature of the musician and fulfilled（實現，完成） his father's dream.

Viktor的經歷告訴我們：要心懷美好，積極樂觀、誠以待人，不論任何時候，都不要停止學習的腳步，認準一件事情，就堅持不懈地做下去。
從字面意思理解，terminal是航站樓的意思，整個故事以航站樓為背景展開，主人公在航站樓里度過了人生難忘的九個月；
從深層含義來看，the terminal意指終點，是主人公維克多幫助父親實現夢想，完成使命的終點，也是他人生中一段奇遇的完美終點。
在我們的學習和生活當中，都會經歷坎坷，如果我們能像Viktor那樣直面困難，樂觀應對，堅持不懈，我們都能走向人生的幸福終點站。
