情態(tài)動詞can的用法
1.can是情態(tài)動詞,沒有人稱和數(shù)的變化,但有時態(tài)的變化,它的過去式為could,其后可直接接動詞原形,其用法如下:
單元語法
(1)表示能力,意為“能,會”。Can you answer the question?你能回答這個問題嗎?
(2)表示許可,意為“可以”,相當(dāng)于may(比may更口語化,may較正式)。此外,could也可以表示許可,語氣更加委婉。Could you help me find it?你能幫我找到它嗎?
(3)用于提出邀請。對其作肯定回答通常用“Sure./Of course./Certainly./Yes,I'd love (like) to.”等,作否定回答通常用“Sorry/No,I can't.”等。
—Can he come to my party?他能來參加我的宴會嗎?
—Yes.He'd love to.是的。他很樂意。
四、語法回顧
can句式變化
(1)在變否定句時,直接在后面加上“not”,寫作can't或cannot。如:
I can speak French.我會講法語。 →I can't speak French.我不會講法語。
(2)在變一般疑問句時,can直接移到主語前(原主語的首字母改成小寫,第一人稱應(yīng)變?yōu)榈诙朔Q)即可。如:
I can play the piano.我會彈鋼琴。 →Can you play the piano?你會彈鋼琴嗎?
其肯定回答可用yes,OK或of course等;否定回答可用no或sorry等。如:

2.情態(tài)動詞could的用法
一、情態(tài)動詞could作為can的過去式時,表示過去的能力和可能性,其否定形式為could not,可縮寫為couldn’t,其用法如下:
(1)情態(tài)動詞could可用于禮貌地提出要求,此時并非can的過去式

(2) could可用于征詢許可,此時并非can的過去式

1.對提出請求或征詢許可的句型做否定回答時,通常以sorry或I’m sorry開頭。
