Activity 3　Read for language features [增分靚句]

本單元的寫作任務是寫一則真實的故事，屬于記敘文的范疇，在寫記敘文的過程中要牢記記敘文的六要素：時間、地點、人物、事件的起因、經過和結果。在寫作時具體注意以下幾個方面：
1．交代時間的常用表達：
one day；the other day；last week；when I was...years old；a long time ago；on a dark，rainy night；on the weekend；once upon a time；during the summer holidays
2．交代地點的常用表達：
on the way to school；on the way home；at the crossing；at the foot of the mountain；at the airport
3．交代時間、地點和相關人物的經典句型：
Sb was doing...in someplace when...
某人正在某地做……這時……
Sb was about to do...when...＝ Sb was on the point of doing...when...
某人正要做……這時……
Sb had just done...when...
某人剛剛做了……這時……
4．推動情節發展(描寫事情經過)的常用表達：

1．確定文體：這是一篇記敘文，寫作時應注意記敘文的特征；
2．主體時態：以一般過去時和過去進行時為主；
3．主體人稱：由于是寫發生在自己身上的故事，所以應該以第一人稱和第三人稱為主。
謀篇
第一段：交代故事發生的背景；
第二段：敘述故事的過程和結局；
第三段：表達對整個故事的感想。
第二步　遣詞造句

The accident reminds me of a lesson：when riding a bike，we can never be too careful.
第三步　句式升級
1．用because引導的原因狀語從句合并句1和句2。
Last Friday was memorable for me because I had an unforgettable experience of my life on my way home that day.
2．用定語從句合并句4和句5。
Unfortunately，I lost my balance and knocked down an old man who was also riding a bike.
第四步　組句成篇
用適當的過渡詞語，把以上詞匯和句式，再加上聯想內容，組成一篇80詞左右的英語短文。

To show our gratitude for Grandpa’s wisdom and love，our family held a birthday party for him last weekend.
In preparation，my mom cooked his favourite dishes，my dad gathered some old friends，and I was in charge of music，filling the night with tunes from his youth. The evening was indeed a pleasant memory for everyone present.
