本單元作文以談論怎樣學習英語(how to learn English)為主線，主要內容是談論英語學習的方法。寫作內容滲透著本單元的話題和語言目標——談論怎樣學習。其書面表達命題形式主要是“建議信”和“經驗介紹類”說明文。在寫作過程中要明確以下幾點：
（1）由作文要談及的主要內容決定我們在寫作中要運用表示方式的“by+v. -ing”結構，動名詞短語作主語等。
（2）結合話題內容，我們在寫作過程中要大量用到表達英語學習方式的短語。
