Upon hearing her words, my face brightened with joy. This experience taught me that honesty is always the best policy. It might be scary to face the truth sometimes, but it can prevent a lot of unnecessary trouble and maintain good relationships.
I had considered the options one by one. First, I thought about hiding the broken MP3. But I quickly dismissed this idea. Lying would only make things worse in the long run. Then, I considered buying a new MP3 to replace the broken one. However, I didn't have enough money at the moment.
Finally, I realized that the best option was to be honest with Mary. I took a deep breath and went to find her. When I saw her, I apologized sincerely: “Mary, I’m sorry to tell you that I broke your MP3. But don’t worry. I’ll buy you a new one.” To my surprise, Mary wasn't as angry as I had expected. “Thank you for your honesty and I’m glad you have the courage to admit the mistake,” she said in a comforting tone. Suddenly, we noticed that the area around us was filled with trash. Henry and I exchanged a shocked look. The once-beautiful park had turned into a messy place. Henry said, “We should do something about this.” I agreed immediately. We decided to clean up the trash right away. Without any tools, we used our hands to pick up the waste. It was dirty work, but we didn’t mind.
After what seemed like ages, the park gradually returned to its clean and lovely state. We wiped the sweat off our brows and resumed our soccer game. The fresh air and beautiful scenery made the game even more fun. We were happy not only because we could play freely again, but also because we have made a positive change to our environment.

On my way to school, I saw an old man struggling to cross the road. Though the thought of being late for school still loomed in my mind, I know I couldn’t just leave him there. I rushed over to him and said, “Let me help you.” He smiled thankfully at me. I held his arm gently yet firmly, guiding him step-by-step across the busy road. Once we safely reached the other side, the old man patted on my shoulder and expressed his gratitude warmly. His kind words filled me with a sense of achievement. After saying goodbye to him, I turned and sprinted towards school.
As I ran, I wasn’t as anxious about being late anymore. The act of helping the old man made me feel that I’d done something meaningful, knowing that kindness was more important than punctuality in this instance.

My best friend Alice let out a painful cry. I immediately stopped in my tracks when I heard Alice's cry. Without hesitation, I skated back to her side. She was lying on the ground, tears streaming down her face, with a look of pain and disappointment. "Alice, it's okay. Don't worry," I said, trying to soothe her.
