go by 還有 “順便拜訪” 的意思。
e.g. I went by his family yesterday afternoon.
我昨天下午順便拜訪了他的家人。
at times意為“有時，偶爾”，與sometimes 和from time to time意思相近，常在句中作狀語。
e.g. We eat out together at times / sometimes / from time to time.
我們偶爾外出吃飯。
Language points
go by 在本句中的意思是 “（時間）過去；逝去”。
e.g. The hours go by quickly when you are study.
學習的時候時間過得很快。
go by 還有 “從……旁邊經過” 的意思。
e.g. The cars went by us.
那些轎車從我們身旁駛過。
the parade just went by.
隊伍剛走過去。
Language points
no matter 意為“無論；不論”，與疑問詞連用引導讓步狀語從句，如no matter who (無論誰)，no matter what (無論什么)，no matter which (無論哪一個)，no matter how (無論怎樣)，no matter where (無論在哪里)等。
e.g. My teacher is always welcome no matter where you are.
無論在哪兒你都是受歡迎的。
Language points
pick oneself up在本句中的意思是 “（使自己重新）鼓起勇氣（樹立信心）”。
pick oneself up也有 “站起來”的意思。
e.g. He picked himself up and walked on continue.
他站起來，繼續往前走。
Language points
“no matter +疑問詞”結構可以與“疑問詞-ever”引導的讓步狀語從句進行同義句轉換。
Whoever / No matter who you are, you must observe the rules of school.
無論你是誰，你一定要遵守學校的規則。
No matter what / Whatever you may say, I still think I did the right thing.
無論你說什么，我始終認為我做得對。

1. on behalf of 在本句中的意思是 “代表……”。
e.g. She made a speech on behalf of our class.
