同化 (Assimilation) - “鄰居影響了我!”
想象一下兩個發音是鄰居。當它們挨在一起時,其中一個發音可能會覺得:“哎呀,旁邊那個音太難發了,或者太麻煩了,我干脆變得跟它有點像好了!” 結果就是,一個音因為受到它旁邊音的影響,而改變了自己的發音方式。

連讀 (Liaison) - “手拉手一起走!”
當一個單詞以輔音結尾,下一個單詞以元音開頭時,我們常常會把結尾的輔音“送”給開頭的元音,讓它們像好朋友一樣“手拉手”連在一起讀。這樣讀起來就流暢多了,沒有停頓。

還是為了偷懶和流暢!避免在輔音和元音之間停頓。
Pronunciation
簡單記: “輔音 + 元音 = 連起來” (前詞尾輔音 + 后詞首元音)。
“元音 + 元音”用 /j/ 或 /w/ 連起來。
例如:
see a 分開讀: /si / + / / (中間有空隙)
連讀: /si j / → 在 /i / (元音) 和 / / (元音) 之間,很自然地加了一個輕微的 /j/ 音 (像中文“耶”的開頭音),變成 see-ya。
