Betty, my best friend, is a slim girl with big bright eyes. Her hair is longer than mine, and she usually wears it in a ponytail.
Kind and helpful, Betty is ready to help anyone any time. She always gives up her seat on the bus to someone in need, and she often helps us with our schoolwork.
Betty is also trustworthy. When something worries me. I always go to her. She listens to me carefully and understands me quite well. She knows how to cheer me up when I am feeling down.
Betty is the most wonderful friend in my life.

(1) 句中的 kind and helpful 是說明性狀語，也稱作主語補語，其功能是修飾或說明主語的狀態、性質或特征，可前置放在句子開頭，也可放在主語后。
(2) be ready to do sth. 愿意做某事；準備做某事
1. Kind and helpful, Betty is ready to help anyone any time.

e.g. He is always ready to help others. 他總是樂于助人。We are ready to have the test. 我們已準備好進行測試。
(3) 句中的 any time 也可寫作 anytime，意思是“在任何時候”。需要注意的是，any time 是短語，前面可加介詞 at，也可以不加；anytime 是副詞，前面無需加介詞 at。
