“連音”或“連讀”，指相鄰的單詞在語(yǔ)流中自然地連接起來(lái)讀，而不是孤立地逐個(gè)發(fā)音，目的是讓語(yǔ)言表達(dá)更流暢、自然，貼近母語(yǔ)者的說(shuō)話習(xí)慣。
連音的核心規(guī)則是基于單詞首尾的音素（輔音或元音）組合。

1. 輔音 + 元音的連音（最常見(jiàn)）
當(dāng)前一個(gè)單詞以輔音結(jié)尾，后一個(gè)單詞以元音開(kāi)頭時(shí)，直接將輔音與后面的元音連起來(lái)讀，仿佛構(gòu)成一個(gè) “新的音節(jié)”。
“stand up” 中，“stand” 結(jié)尾的 /d/ 與 “up” 開(kāi)頭的 / / 連讀，讀成 /st nd p/
