PART. 04
Why did Huang Danian return to China in 2009 What were his achievements after he came back to China
He felt he needed to contribute to his country after living abroad for many years.
Huang developed advanced cameras that can see through the Earth’s crust so that it can be analysed without having to dig into it. He set up a state-of-the-art lab. This enabled China’s deep earth exploration technology into a world-leading position. It also led to China’s lunar probe being landed on the moon.
What sacrifice did Huang Danian make
Huang’s health also paid the price for his commitment to his work. He began having fainting fits in 2012. In November 2016, Huang collapsed and was taken to hospital, where he was diagnosed with cancer. In January 2017, he died, aged just 58.

Huang Danian did not live long but he made major advances in his area of expertise. He had a life with great success and achievements.

It’s a passion for something and the determination to work hard and to stick with it. It’s very easy to give up when we hit setbacks, but people with grit keep going.
How do you understand Steve Jobs' words "The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again."
I think that Steve Jobs felt that being successful was a huge weight on his shoulders. There was a lot of pressure on him to perform and to come up with brilliant ideas because he was successful at such a young age. When he was fired, all those expectations disappeared and he was free to start a new life and to do what he wanted.
Do you agree with the saying "Failure is the mother of success." Why
I agree with the saying. Failures are stepping stones that lead to success. People always make mistakes. Failures provide opportunity for use to figure out the reasons for not succeeding, and work towards avoiding them in the future. The more you fail, the more experience you have, and the better changes you have to be successful in the future.
