一般過去時
1. 一般過去時的意義
（1）表示過去某個時間或某一段時間內發生的動作或存在的狀態,常和表示過去的時間狀語連用，如yesterday、last week/month/year、two days/months/years ago、the day before yesterday、in 2021、just now、a moment ago。e.g. He got up early yesterday./ I visited my grandparents last week.
（2）也可表示過去經常或反復發生的動作,常和 often,always
等表示頻度的狀語連用。
e.g. He always went to work by bus last year.
2.一般過去時的句式結構
I wasn't at home yesterday.
I was at home yesterday.
(1)含連系動詞be的一般過去時的句式
①肯定句:主語+was/were+其他.
我昨天在家。
②否定句:主語+was not (wasn't)/were not (weren't)+其他.
③一般疑問句: Was/Were+主語+其他
肯定回答: Yes,主語+was/were.
否定回答: No,主語+wasn't/weren't.

④特殊疑問句:疑問詞+was/were+主語+ 其他 （對劃線部分提問）

(2)含實義動詞的一般過去時的句式
②否定句:主語+did not (或didn't)+動詞原形+其他.

③一般疑問句: Did+主語+動詞原形+其他
肯定回答: Yes,主語+ did.
否定回答: No,主語+didn't.
我上個周末去了動物園。

④特殊疑問句:疑問詞+did+主語+動詞原形+其他
注意：若對主語提問，則特殊疑問句為: 疑問詞+動詞過去式+其他

3.動詞過去式的變化規則(構成)
（1）規則動詞過去式(課本P95)
（2）不規則動詞（課本P118-119）
不規則動詞的過去式變化各異，沒有統一的規則，但也并非一點規律沒 有，下面介紹一部分動詞過去式的記憶規律。
①動詞過去式與動詞原形一樣。如:let→let, put→put, cut→cut。
②遇見i改為a。如: swim→swam, sing →sang, begin→began。
助記:過去式將i改為a的動詞
游泳(swim)唱歌(sing)后，開始(begin)坐(sit)下來，
給(give)點兒喝(drink)的吧，i就變為a。
③過去式以ought和aught結尾的單詞，
如: bring→brought, buy→bought, think→thought, teach →taught
④中間去e末尾加t,
如:feel→____, keep→kept, sleep→ ____, sweep → swept
⑤把i變為o,如: ride→rode, drive→______, write → wrote。
⑥ow/aw變為ew,
如:know→knew,grow→_____,throw→threw，draw→drew。
⑦以d結尾的詞， 把d變成t,
如: build→built, lend→lent, send→_____, spend→ spent。
⑧連系動詞be的過去式有兩種形式,主語是第一、三人稱單數用
was,其他用were。

4. 一般過去時的時間狀語 （標志詞）
yesterday（昨天）, three days ago (三天前) ,
last night/week/weekend/year...

in+ 過去的時間(如in 2010)等。
