表示心理狀態的動詞，如excite，frighten等，在加-ed和加-ing構成形容詞時，兩種形式的形容詞意義是不同的。
-ed形式的形容詞用來表示主語或被修飾詞所處的狀態，意為“感覺……的”；而-ing形式的形容詞則用來表示主語或被修飾詞的性質，意為“令人……的”。
