When I first started Grade 7, I was shy and did not dare to speak to anyone. Therefore,I had no friends and used to be lonely.Luckily, Tina paid attention to me and soon took the time to communicate with me. The first thing she told me was that friendship was so valuable like treasure that I needed to look for it with courage.What’s more, she advised me to open my heart to let others come in.In the following days,Tina continued to stay by my side and encouraged me.I was touched and decided to make an effort.Day by day,I dealt with my shyness and even offered to join more school clubs.Now I have made many interesting friends and my life has become more colorful.

I remember winning the first prize in the English speech competition in Grade8.
When my English teacher told me to take part in the competition,I thought I was not good enough and refused her.However,she told me that I should be confident in myself because I was talented in spoken English. I was deeply encouraged and decided to have a try.In the forrowing days,I spent much time practicing my speech over and over again.And my teacher taught me to use body language better.When I stood on the stage,I was a little nervous. After taking a deep breath,I calmed down and began my speech with confidence and courage.When I heard I was the first prize winner,I couldn't believe my ears and jumped up and down with excitement.
This experience has had a big influence on my life.I realize that I should always believe in myself.It’s also important to make full preparation before I do
