降調(diào)描述的是聲音在一個(gè)“短語”或一組單詞的最后一個(gè)重音是如何下落的。降調(diào)的基本含義是：“結(jié)束”，“肯定”，降調(diào)通常在以wh-開頭的問句中較為常見。降調(diào)的其中一個(gè)基本含義是“肯定”，所以降調(diào)通常在陳述句或者祈使句中也比較常見。
