Li Ming: He was a great teacher. He studied music,maths, literature, and some other things. He taught three thousand students.

Zhu Xi
Zhu Xi (1130–1200) lived in the Song Dynasty. He loved reading. He put together four important books—The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Confucius Analects, and Mencius—into one set called “The Four Books”, which Chinese students studied for hundreds of years. He also said we should “study things carefully to find the truth.” People later called him “Master Zhu” and “the teacher of teachers.”
朱熹（1130—1200），宋朝人。他愛讀書，把《大學(xué)》《中庸》《論語》《孟子》編成《四書》。他強(qiáng)調(diào)“格物致知”，意思是仔細(xì)觀察事物，才能學(xué)到真正的知識。后人稱他為“朱子”，尊他為“師中之師”。

Cai Yuanpei (1868–1940) was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. As president of Peking University, he opened the doors to new ideas and invited teachers with many different views. He also allowed girls to study at the university for the first time. People call him “the father of modern Chinese education” ,because he made schools fairer and freer for everyone.
蔡元培（1868—1940），浙江紹興人。擔(dān)任北京大學(xué)校長。他思想自由，兼容并包，請不同觀點(diǎn)的老師來教書，還把北大變成男女都能讀的好學(xué)校，被贊為“中國近代教育之父”。

Plato (427–347 BCE) was a famous Greek philosopher. He learned from Socrates and taught Aristotle. In his book “The Republic” ,he told people to seek wisdom and fairness.

John Dewey (1859–1952) was a famous American educator and philosopher.
He said, “Learn by doing.” He believed school should be like a small society where students use their hands, minds, and teamwork to solve problems.
“Education is life；school is society.” These words come from Dewey.

Great teachers are beacons of wisdom, inspiring curiosity and leading us towards the pursuit of truth.
1.One of my favourite teachers is Socrates.
One of my favourite teachers 的意思是“我最喜歡的老師之一”，
“one of...”指的是“其中之一”，后面加名詞復(fù)數(shù)，但后面所加動(dòng)詞要用單數(shù) is。
例句：
One of the apples is red. (其中一個(gè)蘋果是紅色的。)
One of my friends likes pizza. ( 我的一個(gè)朋友喜歡吃披薩。)
2.He was wise.
wise 作形容詞，意為“聰明的；明智的；充滿智慧的”。它的名詞形式是wisdom(智慧)。常用短語：
a wise man/woman 智者
a wise decision/choice 明智的決定
it’s wise to do... 做……是明智的
例句：It’s wise to turn off the lights when you leave.
(當(dāng)你離開時(shí)把燈關(guān)掉是明智的做法。)
3. He taught three thousand students.
taught 是teach(教)的過去式。第三人稱單數(shù)：he / she / it → teaches（加 -es） 名詞形式—老師：teacher（多一個(gè) -er）。常用搭配：
① teach + sb. + sth.
例句： Miss Li teaches us Chinese. （李老師教我們語文。）
② teach + sb. + to do sth.
例句：Mum teaches me to cook. （媽媽教我做飯。）
4.They are both so great.
both意為“兩者都”。在句中位置：系后實(shí)前。
例句：They are both great. （他們都很棒。）
They both like music. （他們都喜歡音樂。）
常見搭配：①both of + 代詞賓格
Both of them are great.=They are both great.
