Dodos lived on an island in the Indian Ocean. There was plenty of food and all the other animals were friendly. They lived a peaceful and safe life. However, humans arrived in 1598. They cut down the trees and hunted dodos. Their pigs, cats and dogs ate dodos’ eggs. At last, dodos died out. Today, we can only see them in museums. This sad story tells us that we should try our best to help animals. We should see them as our friends.
