When I was a tiny baby crying all night, my mom sang to me and stayed by my side.
When I was tired and hungry, she gave me food and warm arms to sleep in.

Now I’m an adult, thinking back to those times.
I coughed for days after eating that ice-cream.
And had scary dreams after watching that film.
I was late for school from staying out past ten.
I regret talking back, not listening to Mom.
Mom knows best, and for me she wanted only the best!

3. scary adj. 可怕的；容易受驚的；引起恐慌的
例：Grandpa told me a scary ghost story.
爺爺給我講了一個嚇人的鬼故事。
辨析scared與scary：
scared是修飾人的，意思是“害怕的，恐懼的 ”；
I'm scared of mice.我害怕老鼠。
scary是單純的形容“可怕的，引起恐慌的，容易受驚的，膽小的”，
可以形容物或人。

regret v. 后悔；惋惜；感到遺憾
She refused their help and she didn’t regret it.

辨析：regret to do sth. 和 regret doing sth.
regret to do sth. 意為 “很遺憾 要 做某事” (事情還沒有做) ；
regret doing sth. 意為“ 很后悔 做了某事” (事情已經做過了) 。
