(1)表示現在(說話時)正在進行的動作或存在的狀態。例如:
The students are listening to the teacher,
He is sleeping now.
(2)也可表示當前一段時間或現階段正在進行的動作或存在的狀態。例如:
We are working on a farm today.
I 'm reading a history book this month.

2.現在進行時的構成
現在進行時是由助動詞be(am/is/are)加動詞-ing形式構成的。以動詞wot為例現在進行時的肯定式、否定式、疑問式和簡略答語如下
