Yesterday afternoon I took part in the English speech contest held by my school. The topic is “The book I like best”.
At first, I felt a little nervous, but at the thought of the words “I can do it”, I calmed down. Soon it was my turn. When I said “The book I like best is Three Days to See written by Helen Keller.
From the book, I realize that it is important to live every day happily and fully,” my teachers and classmates cheered for me. I gained much confidence and went on doing my best. Finally I won the first prize.
From this experience, I learned that I should try my best to do everything. I'll keep it in mind.
