[拓展] ① prefer A to B 意為“相比較 B，更喜歡 A”。在本短語中 A 和 B 既可以是名詞，也可以是代詞或動(dòng)詞 -ing 形式。

不可數(shù)名詞，指書籍、文章的主要文字內(nèi)容。

其后常接名詞或代詞等，其中careful 是形容詞，意為“謹(jǐn)慎；小心；仔細(xì)的”。
[拓展] be careful“小心，當(dāng)心”，單獨(dú)使用時(shí)，常用來提醒別人，以引起注意。

Love for mothers can have different ways of expression. 對(duì)母親的愛可以有不同的表達(dá)方式。
The expression on his face never changed. 他臉上的表情總是一成不變。
[拓展] expression 由“express(v.表達(dá))＋-ion(名詞后綴)”構(gòu)成。-ion 是常見的名詞后綴，常加在動(dòng)詞后，表示“行為，狀態(tài)”。
invent (v.發(fā)明) → invention (n.發(fā)明)
discuss (v.討論；商量) → discussion (n.討論；商量)
act (v.做事；行動(dòng)) → action (n.行動(dòng))
suggest (v.建議) → suggestion (n.建議)

常用短語 chance of doing/to do sth. 意為“做某事的機(jī)會(huì)”。
