當我們要表示“想做某事、需要做某事或決定做某事”時,就會出現兩個動詞連用的情況,同學們自然會想到用want to do sth, need to do sth和decide to do sth等表達方式。行為動詞后的動詞都采用了“to+動詞原形”的結構。我們把這種結構稱為動詞不定式。動詞不定式沒有人稱和數的變化,在句中不能作謂語。那么動詞不定式有什么樣的語法功能呢 首先,它可以在句中充當賓語成分。

需要注意的是:在英語中,并不是所有的動詞都可以用不定式作賓語。有一些動詞只能用動名詞作賓語。

動名詞的基本形式為:v. + -ing。
注意:1. 動詞不定式是一種非謂語形式,在句中不能作謂語,其形式不隨主語的人稱、數和時態的變化而變化。
2. 動名詞是由“動詞原形+ -ing”構成,相當于名詞的功能。
動詞不定式和動名詞作賓語
一般來說,用不定式作賓語時,所表示的多為將來的行為。但是,在具體使用中同學們還要注意記憶,因為動詞不同,對其后動詞形式的要求也不同。
