It was summertime. The ant and the
grasshopper were in the farmer’s field.
The ant was busy collecting corn. The grasshopper was
relaxing in the sun.
“Hey, Ant, come sit with me,” said the grasshopper.
“No, thanks,” said the ant. “I have to take this corn home.

A few weeks later, summer was almost
at an end. The ant continued to take corn
home every day, but the grasshopper just
