A love of gardening P68-69.doc
1 Today, millions of Brits like to say that they have
"green fingers", with around half the population
spending their free time gardening.
Language Points
green fingers = people who are good at growing plants
millions of Brits like to say that they have “green
2 And while many Brits like nothing better than spending their Sunday cutting the grass, some are happy just to sit under the branches of the trees and enjoy the beauty of the world around them.
Paraphrase: Although for many Brits cutting the grass is one of the best ways to spend their Sunday, some simply feel happy when they can sit in their gardens and just enjoy the beautiful scenery.
e.g. While I am willing to help, I do not have much time available.
While the numbers of such developments are relatively small, the potential market is large.
