1. Why was the Sichuan hot pot experience important for the writer
It taught the writer to try new things even if they seem hard at first. By not giving up, he learned to enjoy the spicy flavor and had fun cooking with friends!

The ancient masks with big eyes and ears made the writer curious. He wondered how people lived long ago and felt excited to learn about history.
