現在完成時可以表示某一行為或狀態從過去某時間一直持續到現在,通常與表示一段時間的時間狀語連用,這類狀語通常由since或for引導。具體用法如下:
1. since意為“自……以來”,它既可作介詞,又可作連詞。作介詞時,后接時間點;作連詞時,引導時間狀語從句,主句常用現在完成時,從句用一般過去時。如:
They have lived here since 2010.
他們從2010年開始住在這里。
Wang Hai has learned English since he was 5 years old.
王海從5歲開始學習英語。
2. for作介詞,后接一段時間。如:
Jason has stayed in Shanghai for a month.

3. 對現在完成時的時間狀語進行提問時,我們常用how long。如:

【解讀】
(1)引導時間狀語從句,表示 “無論何時;每當”,如果從句位于主句之前,從句后面通常要用逗號與主句隔開。
(2)引導讓步狀語從句,表示 “無論何時”,相當于 “no matter when”,強調在任何時間情況下,主句的情況都會發生。

There was a very mean man named Mr Black who lived on the sixth floor of an apartment building. He was so impolite to his neighbours that no one even knew his first name was Adam.
