A．used to 的用法
1.used to do sth. “過去常常做某事”表示過去的習慣性動作或狀態，現在已不再發生或不存在。
e.g：I never used to eat cakes, but I eat a lot now.
過去我從不吃蛋糕，但是現在我吃很多。
2. used to do sth.的否定形式：used not to do sth.或 didn’t use to do sth. （常用第二個）
一般疑問句形式： Did sb. use to do sth.
或 Used sb. to do sth. （常用第一個）

B．silent adj.安靜的，沉默的，不說話的。其同義詞為quiet, silent的名詞形式為silence。
C．see sb. doing sth.看見某人正在干……
