1. What does John want to be when he grows up
約翰長大以后想做什么?
when此處用作連詞,意為“當(dāng)……時”,用來引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句。在when引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中,主語是一般將來時,從句要用一般現(xiàn)在時表示將來。
grow up意為“成長,長大”,grow的過去式是grew。
want to be“想要成為……” ,其后接職業(yè)名稱。
2. I’m going to exercise every day.
我打算每天鍛煉。
be going to用于疑問句中將be放在主語前。
be going to表示將要發(fā)生的動作,含有“計劃, 打算”的意思, 后跟動詞原形。常跟表將來的時態(tài)連用。
