五、重點語法
1. 一般過去式
①一般過去時表示在過去某個時間或某一段時間內發生的動作或存的狀態。
We were at school last year.
②表示過去經常反復發生的動作，常與 often, always 等表示頻度的時間狀語連用。
I often went to school on foot.
動詞過去式的變化規則(前減)
③規則動詞過去式的變化規則如下
(1)一般情況下加 ed want—wanted play—played
(2)以 e 結尾加 d live—lived like—liked
(3)重讀閉音節結尾，雙寫末尾輔音字母，加 ed stop—stopped
(4)輔音字母加 y 結尾，把 y 變 i，再加 ed study—studied
④不規則動詞的過去式變化各異，沒有統一的規則，但也并非一點規律沒有
(1) 動詞過去式與動詞原形一樣。let—let, put—put, cut—cut。
(2) 遇見 i 改為 a. swim—swam, sing—sang, begin—began。
(3) 過去式以 ought 和 ought 結尾的單詞
bring—brought ' buy—bought, think—thought, teach—taught!
(4) 中間去 e 末尾加 t feel—felt, keep—kept, sleep—slept, sweep —swept
(5) 把 i 變為 o ride—rode, drive—drive, write —wrote。
(6) ow/aw 變為 ew know—knew, grow—grew, throw—threw, draw—drew
