Pre-Listening
Ask students to review some words they have learned before. Such as always, often , usually, sometimes. seldom, never.
Skill builder:
Listening for the gist: the gist of the main point or general idea of a talk or a conversation. While listening, pay attention to he topic and the main points the speakers talk about.
While Listening
Extensive listening: Ask students to listen to the passage and see what are Helen and Sue talking about Listen to the dialogue and find out.

Intensive listening.: Ask students to listen to the passage again and take notes about Susan’s dad and Helen’s mom on page 8.
