Advice:

Listening to English radio programmes helps me get used to how fast native speakers talk. I also repeat what I hear to help myself to experience the feeling of the language. Sometimes I even record my voice so I can listento myself and compare my pronunciation with the radio host's! My biggest headache is how to be polite in English. It's so much easier to just say "Open the window!", but in English that can sound really terrible. I have to thinkabout who I'm talking to and then decide whether to say,"Open the window, please!"or “Could you open the window, please " or even longer “Would youmind opening the window, please "
1. sound在此處是表感官的系動詞,意思是“聽起來...”,為主動表被動
sth tastes good
sth smells bad
sth sounds terrible

2. talk是不及物動詞,介詞to不能省
Yeah, that's really hard! I think it all depends on who you're talking to. lf I'mtalking to a close friend, I can use short requests, like “Open the window"-ourrelationship is close and we're equals, so I only need a few words to bridgethe gap between us. But if I'm talking to someone who isn't very close to me,lmust make my request longer-and I must make it a question, not a demand,e.g.,"Could you open the window, please " If I'm talking to someone seniorto me, then I should say,"Would you mind opening the window, please "Forme, vocabulary is my biggest problem-there are just SO MANY new words!I can't keep all the new vocabulary straight in my head, and I certainly can'tremember how to use them all properly. HELP!

When I first started learning English, I was excited but a bit nervous. I wanted to learn a foreign language, but I didn' know if I would find it easy. At first it was fun and not so difficult. We had a good teacher and we enjoyed doing simple role plays in small groups.
As we continued to learn, I found some things easy but other things confusing. For example, I kept answering yes to questions like Would you mind opening the window I meant to say that I was happy to open the window. It seems strange to me that we should say no.
I use different methods to learn English. I really like watching films and TV shows in English. Even though there is a lot I don't understand, I pick up a lot of useful phrases and vocabulary. And it's fun!
I really like English, but there seem to be so many words to remember! I try to write down new words on word cards and, when have time, I check them, but I keep forgetting them. Learning vocabulary is my problem!
My English is much better than it was before, and I can use it to express my opinions and talk about my life. I want to keep improving. I think a good way to improve further would be to communicate with foreigners. I'd like to find ways to do this. I'm sure that would help me become a better English speaker.
