英文海報通常含有通知性、宣傳性, 所以主題要明確, 一目了然。它還包含廣告的特點, 要求內容簡明扼要, 形式豐富。
基本框架:
1. 標題
首先根據海報的特點、格式寫明標題。海報中往往把內容作為大標題，可以反映海報的核心內容，如: football match(足球比賽), lecture(講座), film news(影訊)等。
2. 正文部分
不同的海報其正文部分的側重點不同。對于介紹性的海報, 首先要引出話題, 其次列出原因, 最后是總結。
對于宣傳類的海報, 要寫明具體內容, 如: 活動內容, 地點以及參加活動的注意事項, 主持或舉辦單位等。
3. 落款：寫明單位和日期。整個文章的時態用一般現在時和一般將來時。
