Read the hurricane safety guidelines and answer the questions.
1 What is the purpose of safety guidelines
To help people to increase their chances of survival and lessen the negative effects it has on them, their family, their property, and even their business.
2 What type of language is used in safety guidelines
Imperative clauses
We use imperative clauses when we want to tell someone to do something or not to do things. (most commonly for advice, suggestions, requests, commands, orders or instructions).
They usually don’t have a subject – they are addressed to the listener or listeners, who the speaker understands to be the subject. We use the base form of the verb.

寫作指導(dǎo)
安全準(zhǔn)則是上級(jí)對(duì)下級(jí)、組織對(duì)成員、政府對(duì)民眾等布置安全工作、傳達(dá)安全建議等使用的一種應(yīng)用文體,在日常生活和工作中為人們廣泛使用。
安全準(zhǔn)則由兩部分組成,即開頭語和正文。行文中要注意其語言特點(diǎn)和敘述特點(diǎn)。
1. 語言特點(diǎn)
多用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。安全準(zhǔn)則主要表達(dá)日常工作、學(xué)習(xí)和生活中的注意事項(xiàng),因此文中時(shí)態(tài)以一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài)為主。
多用祈使句。安全準(zhǔn)則主要用于對(duì)活動(dòng)參加者提出的要求或注意事項(xiàng)。
多用簡(jiǎn)單句。寫安全準(zhǔn)則的目的是把將要進(jìn)行的活動(dòng)及有關(guān)事項(xiàng)交代清楚,所以采用的句子必須簡(jiǎn)潔明了,以短句、單句為主,能使讀者一目了然。
2. 敘述特點(diǎn)
按類別分層展開敘述注意事項(xiàng)。每個(gè)事項(xiàng)用一個(gè)或多個(gè)句子表達(dá),這樣能使層次清晰,切忌用一個(gè)句子表達(dá)幾個(gè)事項(xiàng)。羅列信息點(diǎn)時(shí),按主次、詳略、類別、時(shí)間等順序排列,以確定先寫什么后寫什么。用文字表示時(shí),必須做到明確清楚,不能含糊其辭。
