專題三　形容詞和副詞
一、形容詞
形容詞通常用于修飾名詞或代詞，表示人或事物的性質、特征和狀
態。其句法功能如下：
功能 用法
作定語 通常置于名詞的前面，修飾中心名詞。例：He is a clever boy.
作表語 位于連系動詞后，構成系表結構。例：The beautiful flower
smells very nice.
作賓語
補足語 位于及物動詞find、make、think、keep等后，說明賓語的性
質、狀態或特征。例：I find it easy to learn English.
【拓展】
(1)形容詞修飾something、anything、nothing、everything、someone、
anyone等不定代詞或somewhere、anywhere等不定副詞時，要放在這些詞
的后面。
There is nothing interesting in today’s newspaper. 今天的報紙上沒有什么有
趣的內容。
(2)“基數詞-表示長、寬、高或年齡的單數名詞-形容詞”構成復合形
容詞，作定語修飾名詞。
He is an eight-year-old boy. 他是一個8歲的男孩。
二、副詞
副詞用來修飾動詞、形容詞、其他副詞、短語或整個句子，并借此
來補充說明時間、地點、程度和方式等。
1. 副詞的構成
構成 例詞
形容詞詞尾加后綴ly bright－brightly　quick－quickly
以“輔音字母＋y”結尾的形容
詞，變y為i，再加ly lucky－luckily　easy－easily
happy－happily
構成 例詞
以le結尾的形容詞，要去e，再加y simple－simply　terrible－terribly
probable－probably
以“元音字母＋e”結尾的形容
詞，去e，再加ly true－truly
【注意】有些以ly結尾的詞并不都是副詞，而是形容詞，例如friendly、
lonely、lovely、lively、likely等。
2. 副詞的分類
(1)時間副詞，如today、yesterday、before、now、then、tomorrow、
soon、late、early、still等。
(2)地點副詞，如here、there、inside、somewhere、anywhere等。
(3)方式副詞
表示行為動作發生的方式，可用來回答how引導的疑問句，如carefully、
slowly等。
(4)程度副詞
可用來修飾形容詞和副詞，有少數用來修飾動詞或介詞短語，如much、
very、enough、hardly、almost等。
(5)頻度副詞，如usually、sometimes、never、always、often等。
常見頻度副詞按頻率大小排列如下：
always(100％)＞usually(90％)＞often(70％)＞sometimes(30％)＞hardly ever
(seldom)(5％)＞never(0％)
以上副詞一般用來修飾動詞、形容詞或其他副詞，來說明被修飾的時
間、地點、方式、程度或頻度等，我們又把它們稱為修飾性副詞。
(6)疑問副詞(用來引導一個特殊疑問句)。
(7)連接副詞(多用來引導一個名詞性從句)。
Tell me when we shall leave.告訴我我們何時離開。
(8)關系副詞：關系副詞用于引出定語從句，且在從句中作狀語，主要有
when、where、why。
3. 副詞的位置
一般位于被修飾的形容詞、副詞之前，動詞之后或句首，在句中常用作
狀語。
(1)頻度副詞常放在系動詞、情態動詞、助動詞之后，實義動詞之前。
I will never forget the first time I met you.我將永遠忘不了和你的第
一次見面。
(2)程度副詞可修飾動詞、形容詞和副詞。在修飾形容詞或其他副詞時，
放在該形容詞或副詞前面。
I quite agree with you.我完全同意你的意見。
It’s really true.確實正確。
(3)副詞enough作狀語修飾形容詞或副詞時，應該放在形容詞或副詞
之后。
He isn’t old enough to join the army.他還不到參軍的年齡。
三、形容詞、副詞的比較等級
1. 變化規則
(1)規則變化
構成方法 例詞
一般單音節詞尾直接 加-er，-est near→nearer→nearest　fast→faster→fastest
hard→harder→hardest
以不發音的字母e結尾的單音節詞，直接加-r或-st nice→nicer→nicest　fine→finer→finest
構成方法 例詞
以“輔音字母＋y”結尾的詞，變y為i，再加-er或-est busy→busier→busiest
early→earlier→earliest
以一個輔音字母結尾的重讀閉音節單詞，雙寫這個輔音字母，再加-er或-est hot→hotter→hottest
wet→wetter→wettest
部分雙音節詞或多音節詞在原詞前加more或most beautiful→
more beautiful→most beautiful
carefully→
more carefully→most carefully
(2)不規則變化

2. 比較等級的用法
(1)原級
①as＋形容詞/副詞原級＋as
Miss Gao works as hard as Mr. Wang.高小姐和王先生工作一樣努力。
②not＋as/so＋形容詞/副詞原級＋as
English is not so difficult as Chinese.英語不如漢語難。
(2)比較級
①形容詞/副詞比較級＋than
The work is more important than you thought.這項工作比你想的更重要。
②Which(What， Who)...＋比較級， A or B？
Which do you like better， the dumplings or noodles？
餃子和面條，你更喜歡吃哪個？
③A＋be＋the＋形容詞比較級＋of＋the two(＋名詞).
He is the older of the two students.他是兩位學生中較大的一個。
④“比較級＋and＋比較級...”表示“越來越……”。
China has developed more and more quickly.中國發展得越來越快。
⑤“the＋比較級...， the＋比較級...”意為“越……，就越……”，表
示某一事物特征隨另一事物變化而變化。
The harder you work， the better you will be.你工作越努力，你就會
變得越好。
⑥“形容詞/副詞比較級＋than any other＋可數名詞單數(＋比較范圍)”意
為“比同一范圍的其他任何一個人或物都……”，表示最高級含義。
John is taller than any other boy in the class.約翰比班里其他任何一位男孩
都高。
【拓展】
①形容詞比較級前可加much、still、even、far、a little、a lot、a bit、
any、two years、three times、one half等表示程度的詞，用以加強語氣。
We are living a much happier life than ever before.我們正過著比以前更幸福
的生活。
②倍數表達法
a.A＋be＋倍數＋as＋原級＋as＋B.
b.A＋be＋倍數＋形容詞/副詞比較級＋than B.
c.A＋be＋倍數＋the size/height/width/length of B.
This building is three times as tall as that one.這座建筑物是那座的三倍高。
他是這些男孩中跑得最快的。
(3)最高級
①形容詞/副詞最高級＋of (in， among)＋比較范圍
He runs fastest among these boys. 他是這些男孩中跑得最快的。
②“主語＋be＋one of the＋形容詞最高級＋復數名詞＋of (in， among)＋
比較范圍.”表示“……是……中最……之一”。
The Yellow River is one of the longest rivers in China.黃河是中國最長的河
流之一。
③Which/Who...＋(the＋)最高級， A， B， or C？
Which is the longest pencil， red， green or blue？
紅色的、綠色的和藍色的鉛筆，哪一個是最長的？
④the＋序數詞＋形容詞最高級＋名詞＋范圍
