一、概念
過去分詞是非謂語動詞形式之一。過去分詞保留著動詞的部分特性,有完成或被動含義,可帶狀語構成過去分詞短語。
二、過去分詞作表語
用在系動詞(如be,get,become,look,feel,seem,remain等)后面,多表示主語的狀態(tài)或狀況,它體現(xiàn)的是形容詞的特性。
After the author moved to London,he felt disappointed.(2021·全國甲卷改編)
作者搬到倫敦后,他感到很失望。

三、過去分詞作定語
1.意義
(1)及物動詞的過去分詞表示被動或完成。

(2)不及物動詞的過去分詞作定語不表示被動,只表示完成。
The road was partially blocked by a fallen tree.

2.位置
(1)單個的過去分詞作定語時,通常放在被修飾詞的前面。

四、過去分詞作賓語補足語
1.用法
過去分詞作賓補,說明賓語的狀態(tài)或性質,與賓語一起構成復合賓語,它前面的賓語就是其邏輯主語。過去分詞作賓補時,其所表示的動作一定和賓語有邏輯上的動賓關系。作賓補的多是及物動詞。
She saw the thief caught by the policemen.
她看見小偷被警察抓住了。
2.三類接過去分詞作賓補的動詞
(1)表示感覺或心理狀態(tài)的動詞。如:see,watch,observe,find,hear,feel,notice等。
As Ginni Bazlinton reached Antarctica,she found herself greeted by a group of little Gentoo penguins longing to say hello.(2022·全國甲卷)
當Ginni Bazlinton到達南極洲時,她發(fā)現(xiàn)一群渴望打招呼的巴布亞小企鵝迎接了她。

3.“with/without+賓語+賓語補足語”結構

“have+賓語+過去分詞”的三種含義:
(1)表示“讓某人做某事”
My computer was out of order,so I had it repaired yesterday.
我的電腦壞了,所以我昨天找人把它修好了。
(2)完成或解決某事(主語可能參與其中)
Last week,the park had some trees planted.
上周,公園里栽了一些樹。
(3)表示“遭遇某種不幸;受到打擊”
He had his wallet stolen.
他的錢包被偷了。
五、過去分詞作狀語
過去分詞作狀語,修飾謂語動詞,進一步說明謂語動詞的動作和狀態(tài),其邏輯主語就是句子的主語,且主語是過去分詞動作的承受者。過去分詞作狀語時,可單獨使用,也可以在其前面加上適當?shù)倪B詞(when,while,if,once,unless,although等),可表示時間、原因、條件、讓步、伴隨、方式等。
1.表示時間,可轉換為when,while或after等引導的時間狀語從句。
First announced in April,2016,the tax which applies to soft drinks containing more than 5g of sugar per 100 ml,was introduced to help reduce childhood obesity.(2022·全國乙卷)

該稅于2016年4月首次宣布,適用于每100毫升含糖量超過5克的軟飲料,旨在幫助減少兒童肥胖。
2.表示原因,可轉換為as,since或because等引導的原因狀語從句。
Amazed at how skillful they were,I determined to be just as good.
→Because I was amazed at how skillful they were,I determined to be just as good.(浙江卷)
驚詫于他們的熟練程度,我決心要像他們一樣好。
3.表示條件,可轉換為if,once或unless等引導的條件狀語從句。

4.表示讓步,可轉換為although,though或even if等引導的讓步狀語從句。
Exhausted,the premier kept dealing with political problems until midnight.

5.表示方式或伴隨情況。作方式狀語時,如有連詞as if,可轉換為as if引導的方式狀語從句;若無連詞,則轉換為并列結構。作伴隨狀語時,一般轉換為并列結構。

6.連詞+過去分詞:過去分詞作時間、條件或讓步狀語時,為了明確其意義有時可在過去分詞前加上when,while,if,once,unless,although等連詞,相當于狀語從句的省略。

一、技法指導
本單元的寫作任務是標志性動物描寫。這種類型的文章屬于介紹類說明文,是對一種標志性動物進行說明或描述的寫作。
