動詞不定式是非謂語動詞的一種,沒有人稱和數的變化,在句中可以作主語(有名詞和代詞的作用),通常表示具體的、特定的行為。
一、動詞不定式作主語的基本用法
1.動詞不定式表示某一次具體的、特定的或有待實現的動作。
To promote the elderly people’s welfare is the purpose of the project.

二、 動詞不定式與動名詞作主語的區別
1.動名詞作主語通常表示抽象動作;而動詞不定式作主語表示具體動作。

約翰遜小姐認為和孩子在一起是她工作中最棒的部分。
In his opinion,to be with children is the best part of this activity.(具體)

2.動名詞作主語時,通常用來表示一件已知的事或經驗;動詞不定式通常用來表示一件未完成的事或目的。

區分說話者所說的是事實還是觀點是重要的。觀點是主觀的語句,事實是客觀的。事實是真實發生的事情,而觀點就是你所相信的。通常根據對話者說話的語音、語調、語氣以及談話內容,可以判斷出說話者對某人、某事物的看法或態度。

2.解題技巧
此類題要求考生根據對話中的提示詞(諸如“I think/believe”,“in my opinion”“to me”等表達)、語氣、語調等內涵意義,推斷出談話人的意圖和看法。就語調而言,降調(特別是在陳述句或感嘆句中)通常表示講話人的態度是肯定、贊同的,而升調(尤其是在一般疑問句和附加疑問句中)表示對事物的懷疑、驚訝或否定。

一、技法指導
本單元的寫作任務是給編輯寫一封講述自己生活方式的信。此類作文主要圍繞以下幾個方面寫作:
1.首先要詳細敘述自己曾經不良的生活方式;
2.再以時間為主線敘述事情發展的經過,即從過去不健康或亞健康狀態,經過積極的調整,達到現在的身心健康狀態;
3.最后表達自己的感悟。
二、篇章結構
本文兼顧書信和記敘文的體裁特點。首先,它具備書信的基本構成要素,包括稱呼、正文、信尾敬語和署名。正文部分為記敘文的寫法。
第一段:敘述自己曾經不良的生活方式或存在的健康問題;
第二段:為改變生活方式所作出的決定;
第三段:為改變生活方式所采取的措施;
第四段:產生的積極結果。
